Fat Misogynistic Drug Felon makes Faux Apology

Limbaugh “apologizes” with more excuses and lies than sincerity. Maybe the loss of sponsors and a possible law suit got to him?  It certainly can’t be his conscience.

For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week.  In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.

I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone’s bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.

My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.

Other women deserving an apology for similar outrageous, insulting misogynistic slurs who probably will never get one because they do not have grounds to sue the slop out of him as public figures.

Hillary Clinton

“She sounds like a screeching ex-wife.” –Rush Limbaugh, on Sen. Hillary Clinton

Michelle Obama

“It doesn’t look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary (sic) dietary advice. And then we hear that she’s out eating ribs at 1500 calories a serving with 141 grams of fat … No, I’m trying to say that our first lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue or of a woman Alex Rodriguez might date every six months or what have you.” –Rush Limbaugh, Feb. 21, 2011

Jocelyn Elders

Sonia Sotomayor

“Here you have a racist — you might want to soften that, and you might want to say a reverse racist,” Limbaugh said of Sotomayor on his show, alluding to the New York federal appeals court judge’s past statement that a “wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

Liberals, “of course, say that minorities cannot be racists because they don’t have the power to implement their racism,” Limbaugh said according to a transcript on his website. “Well, those days are gone, because reverse racists certainly do have the power. … Obama is the greatest living example of a reverse racist, and now he’s appointed one.”

The Women’s Movement (or FemiNazis as he calls us)

“I’m a huge supporter of women. What I’m not is a supporter of liberalism. Feminism is what I oppose. Feminism has led women astray. I love the women’s movement — especially when walking behind it.” –Rush Limbaugh, responding to criticism that he is sexist and defending his selection as one of the judges at the 2010 Miss America Pageant, “Fox News’ Fox & Friends,” February 3, 2010

“Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society.”

“We’re not sexists, we’re chauvinists — we’re male chauvinist pigs, and we’re happy to be because we think that’s what men were destined to be. We think that’s what women want.”

“She comes to me when she wants to be fed. And after I feed her — guess what — she’s off to wherever she wants to be in the house, until the next time she gets hungry. She’s smart enough to know she can’t feed herself. She’s actually a very smart cat. She gets loved. She gets adoration. She gets petted. She gets fed. And she doesn’t have to do anything for it, which is why I say this cat’s taught me more about women, than anything my whole life.” –Rush Limbaugh, on his cat

Yup, Santorum. This is truly entertainment!

There’s probably more out there than I can find in the five minutes with which I compiled this post.  Add away.

    On people being tortured:

“This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation…I’m talking about people having a good time, these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You ever heard of the need to blow some steam off?”

–Rush Limbaugh, on the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal

If I hear another person claim that Obama is forcing taxpayers to pay for contraception, I’m going to scream! This has nothing to do with taxpayer funds.

    • ralphb says:

Scary how they understand nothing about the situation but always have a boatload of complaints and whining to do.

It’s completely typical behavior and makes me despair for our democracy.

    • Woman Voter says:

I will scream if they continue ASS/u/ME that birth control pills are merely for contraception. I feel misogynist Rush Limbaugh is just saying this due loss of $$$MONEY$$$ !

  4. I seriously doubt that any of the cowardly Repugs convinced him to do this. I’m sure it was strictly $$$$$$$$$$$ – Clear Channel may have said “No sponsors, no show.” I seem to remember early in his career that there was a Snapple boycott, but can’t remember what he had done. Snapple was an early sponsor. I still won’t drink it.

Ironically, I and a friend were his target many, many years ago. He didn’t have our names, but spoke of our meeting at Orlando Intl Airport with security staff. They were killing deer at the airport and we met with them to suggest alternatives. The meeting was cordial, but Rush said on air & in his first book that we silly women complained & cried to the airport authorities about killing Bambi. You know how us wimmin folk can be: emotional & illogical.

We all know he does this on a Saturday, when it’s a slow news day. And he does it on his website instead of in person. We know he didn’t mean it as a personal attack on Ms. Fluke, he meant to say that all women are sluts.

He thinks he has a divine right to make women do prono videos, I mean he is the master slave man. I say don’t let up on the pressure. Nail his ass to the wall.

    • ralphb says:

I think some of the consequences should be paid by right wing women who support that sorry POS like Dana Loesch. Without the help of some women, these asses wouldn’t get nearly as far.

      • Minkoff Minx says:

Women can be assholes too…and that Dana Loesch is at the top of the list…well, along with Ann Coulter, Palin, Patricia Heaton, etc.

  6. DailyPUMA says:

I’m not sure why his fatness has anything to do with it, unless you were referring to his fat head.

  7. lj says:

I’ve hated this ass for years. He took the word “feminist” and, with that “feminazi” label, made it a word that people avoid. If you control the language, you control the argument. I only hope that this is the beginning of the end for Limbaugh’s influence. Lord knows, it’s time.

  8. roofingbird says:

Of course it’s money! I don’t think it helps that Mitt’s group is one of the owners of Clear Channel either. Of course, Santorum took the opportunity to ding Limbaugh.

Like any verbal abuser, though, for 20 years he’s gotten away with it. Abusers need consequences for their actions, or they don’t stop.

Instead, Clear Channel rewarded him 400 million dollars in an 8 year contract..

Wow, that was the first real personal statement I have heard from these advertisers. I bet those two daughters kept on their dads ass about it. I did take them longer to back out.

As Joe Cannon pointed out, that should be “Fat, misogynistic drug felon and possible Dominican sex tourist”.

    • dakinikat says:

      I stand corrected …

    • bostonboomer says:

      Cannon called him misogynistic? Wow.

      • propertius says:

        Actually, he did:

I don’t usually spend too much time denouncing sexism in the media — lots of female writers do that job better than I could. But Rush Limbaugh (as Marge Simpson once put it) didn’t just cross the line, he threw up on it.

But my comment was really an allusion to Cannon’s earlier post speculating about why Rush was returning from a notorious pedophile sex tourism destination (the Dominican Republic) with a large quantity of fraudulently-obtained Viagra when he was detained by U.S. Customs several years ago.

“We want to keep this issue going because voters have come to the conclusion, I think, that the Republican Party is populated by absolute whackos and nuts.”

    — Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell (D), telling MSNBC that this “birther stuff” only helps President Obama.

Does anyone disagree with Ed? 😉

  14. ralphb says:

John Cole – Ed Morrissey is a Shameless Liar

Ed is lying. The people who made this issue, which was about medical health, into an issue about Sandra Fluke’s sex life are Rush Limbaugh and all the amoral cretins like Ed who decided that just like Graeme Frost, anyone who goes against what the right wants RIGHT NOW, is a target who needs to be destroyed.

So take the challenge, or apologize for lying, Ed. $1000.00 to the RNC the moment you can show me where she discussed her sex life, you lying sack of shit.

Speaking of whackos and nuts, apparently Right Blogistan just can’t stop their lying and defending of Limpballs.
