Very First Votes Coming In! And it’s Kentucky first out of the gate! Election Night Live Blog!!!
Posted: November 6, 2018 Filed under: 2018 elections, Live Blog 72 CommentsWell, I voted this morning. I look about as worried as I am …
The votes in Kentucky and Indiana are beginning to be reported. The stories are all about LONG lines and wait times every where!!!
New York Times:
Long Lines and Jammed Machines Frustrate Voters in New York City
Houston Chronicle:
Long lines and machines down at multiple polling places across Houston
Associated Press:
Reports of long lines, broken machines as voters go to polls — ATLANTA (AP
Let’s sit back and let it roll!!!!
Here we are again. I’m self-medicating with peanut butter cup caramel ice cream.
I hope this is a good night for the candidates we support.
Pecan praline here.
I’m on the West Coast and our polls close at eight. My last sign-waving shift starts in about 45 minutes. I used to do the victory parties on election night, but tonight, I’ll go home and turn on MSNBC for the evening.
Yeah. I can’t take another one last 2016. When we lost to the that carpet bagging beautician from Michigan was pretty awful too.
Glad to see our VP retain his Senate seat.
MSNBC showing Amy McGrath almost tied – less than 1% difference. I think a lot of Lexington votes still to be counted but of course the rest of the state is solid GOP.
I’m sure it’s too early to read anything into these results but I’m glued to the teevee. ARGH
Karma baby.
Should have sent him on a wild goose chase to the right polling place, oh, it’s been changed to this other polling place, and you need to prove how long you’ve lived here and there’s no parking within a mile of the polling station.
Jennifer Wexton carried the 10 in Virginia beating Barbar Comstock !!! FLIP FLIP FLIP
Awesome.
Andrew Gillum is looking good in FLA.
Love those flips! And really encouraging to see the % ahead for Gillum.
Barbara Comstock is gone in VA. Jennifer Wexton will be in the House.
Donna Shalala wins in FL
Yay! and Yay! again.
I’m sure you guys have seen this and maybe posted it earlier but this is what today is all about for so many of us:

another flip !!! Florida … Donna Shalala won!!!!!
More karma.
Oh, yeah!
Yay.
Good to have Sen Brown continue in his seat.
Beautiful.
I’d say so too.
Wow. This election is like a wild-west smack down.
Right to the wire
Worried.
Damn. This helps, but I don’t think we will see legitimate results from Georgia.
It’s not looking good, folks.
Florida not looking good at all.
Donnelly lost
Manchin is still in
I’m starting to feel a little cold breeze!
Colorado is flipping like crazy and Beto is looking good!!!!
Don’t know if I can do this again.
Are these returns telling me that more then half of this nation is in favor of Trump and the GOP?
This can’t be happening.
Well, not really but the unholy trinity of voter apathy, election rigging and voter suppression.carries the day. But honestly, if the people of this country can’t understand the consequences of voting for evil people then there is no hope for us and we largely will get what we deserve. The problem is that every other citizen of this planet and every species on the planet will also pay the price.
Trump’s voting base is about 30% of the country (yeah, that’s 30% too much). Unfortunately with gerrymandering, non-voters, voter suppression, and the whole screwed-up methods for allotting representatives and senators we get screwed.
If the US had representational voting with 1 person’s vote equaling the same as 1 person’s vote anywhere else in the country we’d be Blue-dominant. I’ve really gotten to hate parts of the Constitution.
Horrible Marsha Blackburn won the Senate in TN. Good grief.
A friggin nightmare. I had my hopes on her going done, but the women in Tenn. must love her bullshitt.
The western democrats are starting to come through.
I parked in My RV right outside and went in to see maybe fifteen folks in front of me. We go in person every time to encourage the State to keep the poll location open. However, the lighting and noise are becoming more difficult to manage for Hubby. So, next time we may fill out the ballot at home and take it to the precinct. I’m always grateful to be in CA on voting day.
