Advice from Infamous Conservative Republican on these kinds of candidates.

Off key in just so many ways, it’s hard to keep track …
I think self-crowned “male feminists”, the people who are on a jihad should take a deep braith:
Cain details gesture that led to sex accusation
I don’t know what happened and I think it’s premature to declare that the accusations are baseless, especially now that we know that there was at least one payment.
at least Joe Biden isn’t going to hide the accusers in a hotel room
I asked everyone in my family not to vote for Joe Biden as he is responsible to putting Clarence Thomas (woman hater, thinks corporations are people) in the Supreme Court.
Clarence Thomas is no Thurgood Marshall!
He asked an employee to come on up to his hotel room… Lucy ‘Herman Cain’ got some splaining to do here… and yes, that goodness Joe Biden isn’t or wasn’t anywhere near the two women, lest they be painted liars as was Anita Hill.
I’d hate to be the lip of the woman sitting next to the podium. It looked like she was biting it so hard to keep from laughing that she almost bit right through it.
And here I thought the Republicans could never come up with a candidate as hilarious as Dan Quayle or Dubya, but I’m reminded that we must never underestimate them!
Oh no. He sang at the National Press Conference? Is this what we could expect with a Cain in the WH? At Press Conferences? LOL. I’m hearing and picturing that right now
The problem with all these religious right-wing candidates and supporters is they immediately set themselves up for disaster. If lurid details come out on these cases, it’s over for Cain. If we find out that there were multiple payoffs, it’s over for Cain. Unless he’s a great, great explainer. So far, I’m not impressed.
You can’t stand on the self-righteous mountaintop or run for the WH without expecting absolute scrutiny [unless you’re Obama, that is]. I’ve read many right-wing posts today bringing up Bill Clinton and the Lewinsky affair. But Bill Clinton never tried to paint himself as ‘super-Christian’ or Mr. Morality plus and there were plenty of stories well before Clinton was elected. Bill Clinton liked women. Women liked Bill Clinton. End of story.
But I find it strange that Karl Rove is out there, banging away at Cain after the ‘leak.’. Herman Cain is clearly ‘not’ the establishment pick. I agree with Juan Williams that this is very likely a GOP leak to knock Cain’s numbers down.

Hmmm….somehow I don’t see this as a problem. 😉
LOL. I take your point, madamab.
You know what keeps scaring me? I was around when Goldwater ran. (In 1964, was it?) We all thought he was the craziest loon on the planet. Admittedly, that was in Cambridge, Mass, but still. That was the outer limit of gonzo that we could imagine.
Now he’s a pillar of rationality. Even to me, he sounds very rational and intelligent.
And this is the scary part: if I think back very carefully, I know he hasn’t changed.
EAAAAK, is it Halloween or are you trying to scary us to death!
The GOP race is frickin’ Clown College!!!
Thanks for posting this, Dak. I needed a laugh today.
I still think he’s just auditioning for Huckabee’s job.
But can Cain fry a squirrel in a popcorn popper? Now, THAT is a true talent.
Is it wrong of me to secretly wish that Cain becomes the Republican nominee? I would just love to hear the Republicans I know justify voting for him. Honestly, I think people could rationalize voting for Palin easier than they could rationalize voting for this fool.
Well, the man does provide free entertainment.
Maybe he is confused between American idol and presidential primaries.
It’s pretty easy to do these days. The qualifications seem to be about the same. 😉
He is out to sell books and was doing the bidding of another candidate. Especially since Cain hasn’t asked what that candidate did to change things prior to 1979. ‘Cough, cough…’
I don’t understand how any one could take either of those people seriously. I think they must watch too much reality tv or something.
Oh, you may be on to something there Dak. I’m just waiting for the newest reality show…Owwww, my balls!
I know that this man will not get the GOP nomination. I keep saying this like a mantra. In the meantime, it’s so sad and surreal to watch this reality show election which is going to go on for another year. I read somewhere recently that the GOP candidates and final nominee will end up collectively spending around a billion dollars when this is all over. Also, I love the Barry G. quotation.
I’m pretty sure that all the bad stuff on Cain and Perry is coming from the Rove part of the party that wants to see Romney win the nomination. You can never get poor, though, underestimating the GOP base these days.
‘One of the woman was asked to come up to Herman Cain’s hotel’ and ‘There were separate two 5 figure settlements.’ via CNN
Herman Cain come clean! GOP
eessh … heard there was inappropriate touching too. The woman that was asked to go to the hotel room went directly to a board member to complain. Heard that on Hardball earlier. Tweetie interviewed the Politico reporter that broke the story … otherwise I wouldn’t have been watching needless to say. Politico tends towards the Republican so I still think Romney people or Rove or some one was involved …

As his story changes during the day…
I think it was Romney, as he doesn’t want Herman Cain as his 999 VP and he is tired of staying at 24 and not moving. I recall last time Romney cried after having to pull out and he doesn’t want a repeat…
No viable woman on the any ticket, sad…
Yeah, that is some big ass cash settlements for some misunderstandings.
😯
I believe Anita Hill and will never vote for Joe Biden.
Goldwater has little in common with today’s conservatives. The same was true for William F. Buckley, who actually dropped the label in the 90s when he identified himself as a libertarian. I have no doubt that would be true for Au H2O if he were here today. A moderate libertarian to be sure! 🙂
