Tuesday Cartoons: History is telling us something.

That could have been written this past weekend, about this country.

History is yelling at us, but it won’t teach us a thing.

If we seek solace in the prisons of the distant past
Security in human systems we’re told will always always last
Emotions are the sail and blind faith is the mast
Without the breath of real freedom we’re getting nowhere fast

If God is dead and an actor plays his part
His words of fear will find a place in your heart
Without the voice of reason every faith is its own curse
Without freedom from the past things can only get worse

Sooner or later just like the world first day
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
Sooner or later just like the world first day
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away

History will teach us nothing
History will teach us nothing

Our written history is a catalog of crime
The sordid and the powerful, the architects of time
The mother of invention, the oppression of the mild
The constant fear of scarcity, aggression as its child

Sooner or later
Sooner or later
Sooner or later
Sooner or later

Convince an enemy, convince him that he’s wrong
Is to win a bloodless battle where victory is long
A simple act of faith
In reason over might
To blow up his children will only prove him right
History will teach us nothing
Sooner or later just like the world first day
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
Sooner or later just like the world first day
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away

History will teach us nothing
History will teach us nothing

Know your human rights
Be what you come here for
Know your human rights
Be what you come here for
Know your human rights
Be what you come here for
Know your human rights
Be what you come here for

That was an intense beginning to a cartoon post. But the truth is, we need to wake the fuck up.

Big news about Trump cutting funding…it’s down a bit in the post. So look for it.

A few other things before the cartoons:

I don’t know what to say about that last bit of news…it is too cruel, but then…that is the point.

Now the cartoons:

Stay safe.

  1. Well, it seems that Instagram is deleting post. That link above is no longer working. It was to a instagram post that broke down what Trump’s pause on funding means to programs like wic and school meal programs. If you are not on blue sky …get on it.

What would I do? Senate, House, DNC & Dem Govs EACH need to have a Rapid React WarRoom staffed 24/7/365. They need to have a rotating Senator, Rep, & Gov on call all times to post video, TikTok, statements & do interviews. Pressers are old, tired & mostly useless. Welcome to 2025.

According to Sen. Ron Wyden on Bluesky, Medicaid portals in all 50 states have been shut down as a result of the freeze. This means millions of people on Medicaid, including elderly in nursing homes, are having their healthcare denied.

BREAKING: The Attorneys General of CA, NY, AZ, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NV, NC, NJ, NM, OR, RI, VT, WA, WI, and D.C. have all filed suit against Trump for his budget freeze on vital health services.
The fact that 0 Republican AGs are joining this lawsuit, despite the fact that this freeze hurts their constituents the most, speaks volumes on how MAGA is absolutely a cult.

Housing Authorities across the county are reporting that the HUD portal has shut down. The HUD portal is the way Housing Authorities access already allocated monies for monthly rental payments that provide housing to millions of poor people. Without access to these funds, people can and will be evicted and become homeless. Homelessness is already at an all time high in this country.

It is unclear whether Food Stamps (SNAP) will be frozen. If already allocated funds are not transferred to people’s SNAP accounts, they will have no Food Stamps.

We are looking at many, many millions of people suddenly left without housing, food and healthcare. Of course, those hit hardest will be poor women, children, the elderly and disabled. Our most vulnerable people.
