Leonard Cohen has passed away at age 82. His voice will be missed. His message was always sublime.

The Sky Dancing banner headline uses a snippet from a work by artist Tashi Mannox called 'Rainbow Study'. The work is described as a" study of typical Tibetan rainbow clouds, that feature in Thanka painting, temple decoration and silk brocades". dakinikat was immediately drawn to the image when trying to find stylized Tibetan Clouds to represent Sky Dancing. It is probably because Tashi's practice is similar to her own. His updated take on the clouds that fill the collection of traditional thankas is quite special.

I felt this was coming, as did many other people. He was rumored to be near the end.
His recent song “You Want it Darker” contains part of the Kaddish prayer, used by Jews in their mourning ritual: “Magnified and sanctified be His Holy Name.” Then Cohen says “I’m ready, my Lord.” It was his farewell.
A great artist. One of the very best. My heart is heavy, knowing he is gone from this world. May his memory be for a blessing.
