Hillary Clinton’s Got This

Something truly crazy would have to happen for Bernie Sanders to win the Democratic nomination.

To borrow a phrase from Dan Rather, Hillary Clinton swept through the South like a big wheel through a Delta cotton field on Super Tuesday. Shewon seven states total, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia in the South. She also won Massachusetts and American Samoa. Bernie Sanders emerged victorious in four states (Colorado, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Vermont), but his victories tended to come by smaller margins and in smaller states. The end result is that Clinton has a clear path to winning the nomination, and Sanders’s only hope to derail her is for something very unusual to happen.

We’ve now seen 15 states vote in the Democratic contest, and it’s clear that Clinton’s coalition is wider than Sanders’s. Sanders has won only in relatively small states where black voters make up less than 10 percent of the population. That’s not going to work this year when black voters are likely to make up more than 20 percent of Democratic primary voters nationwide.

On Tuesday, we saw why. As she did in Nevada and South Carolina, Clinton won huge margins of black voters. Her worst performance was in Oklahoma, where 71 percent of black voters in the Democratic primary chose her. InAlabama, she won 93 percent of black voters on her way to winning 78 percent of Democrats overall. Clinton took no less than 64 percent of the overall vote in the southern states she won.

Lemme put it this way: Hillary’s Massachusetts win = no mathematical path for Sanders to win the nomination. It’s time to drop out. ‪#‎bernout‬ ‪#‎hillblazing‬

He shouldn’t drop out. He should just stop with the nasty attacks. It will help her to have competition, and it will help him to collect delegates–if he cares about a future as a Democrat.

Requiem for a “liberal news network”: How MSNBC abandoned the left precisely when the left is on the rise
After its latest public spat with Melissa Harris-Perry, MSNBC is looking less and less like its former self

They are giving Willie Geist his own show now, replacing Melissa Harris-Perry. Disgusting.

Oh, piffle. MSNBC wasn’t liberal when Tim Russert was alive in 2008. They just enjoyed the trappings placed by others. If anything they were the original “berniebros”, only then they were obots.

Winning VA is huge for Hillary, because she could win it in the GE. She wiped the floor with Bernie there and she did really well in the areas close to WV. She could win WV in the GE too. She did well there in 2008.

Pity that the people from Virginia and all of the rest of the states that Hillary won last night are all “low information voters” according to some of the Bernie supporters’ comments I’ve seen around the web today. You see, Bernie won in the states where people are smart but us dummies just aren’t smart enough to see how wonderful he is. Funny, one of the pundits last night said that Virginia had one of the best informed electorates. And then there are all of you in Massachusetts. When are you going to get some smart people there?

I wonder if these “liberals” realize what a dog whistle “low information voters” is when they use it in this context?

I couldn’t listen to Maddow & the MSNBC crew during returns last night because I knew if I did I’d have to stay up and write her another ass-kicking email. She’s been in the tank for Bernie since last summer and she’s incapable of hiding it. I warned her that she needed to navigate the middle ground and that catering to the Berners would lead to losing Hillary supporters forever. I also warned her that her new Bernie fans would drop her as soon as he was out of the race, but I suppose she’s deluded herself into believing that the Berners are watching her show because they love her. Too bad she wasn’t enough of a professional to maintain the middle ground. I don’t think it will be too long until Rachel is out at MSNBC too and back to radio, where she belongs. MSNBC is destroying their own model brick by brick. Morning Schmo is a joke, Mika is a fly weight and Joe is a pompous, narcissistic asshole. And the Willie Geist Show? They’ve lost it!!!! They should return to STRAIGHT NEWS reporting and get out of strategic side taking business because they’re really bad at it.

I read that article about Christie’s silent screaming before I went to bed last night and it cracked me up. His expression as he stood behind Trump was very telling. It reminded me of the scene from Ghost in which Carl, with a look of horror on his face, realizes he is dead and gets dragged to hell by the demons from the darkness.

Perhaps Christie saw a similar future for himself while standing on that stage. 🙂
