Happy Festivus! We shall now Have the Airing of the Grievances!

festivus

So, I gotta lot of grievances … GUN NUTSSSSSSSssss!! This stuff should be UNACCEPTABLE!!! I’m tired of reading that no charges are filed and it’s an “accidental shooting”. You fucking leave an unlocked and loaded gun around the house with children you freaking deserve to be locked up for life!

Arizona: 3 year-old boy fatally shoots himself in the face with parents’ gun

10-Year-Old Girl Dies After Accidental Shooting

Right Wing Religious Extremists! Women are not your property or the state’s property! Hating on GLBT is not a religious statement! It’s Freaking Bigotry!

A lot of poor people work and still don’t have enough to eat or have access to healthcare. Look at the Walmart Heirs! They are the lazy bums!! Poor people and unemployed people are not the ones that scam our country out of money!

Okay, that should get things going … air your grievance!!!

What really fries my grits……the churches are charging $2 or $3 dollars for a bag of donated food. So if you join in membership, you get to eat, and feed your children. Don’t know how to fish, hell they’ll give you a pole and hole. Don’t have any furniture, join the church, they’ll deliver to your home for free, so long as you are member. Having medical problems, ya’ll go on down to the church, they’ll jump up and down till your’re cured. Don’t have a car, come up $500 and we’ll pitch in $1500 and get you a car, but you got to join the church, and bring the family on free juice day. So they have the money, cause no body taxes them…………the mormons, the catholics, the baptist, they are turning in BIG BUSINESS. They buying up America all over the country. Meanwhile they get are getting better and better at condemning your lifestyle. It troubles me, because more poor are having to accept their attitudes and beliefs, including those on contraception. Money, Money, Money, and you know they cheat and steal more than those who are poor. Don’t forget you gotta pray in church, and make pledge to be God’s secret warrior.

I have absolute horror stories about what they do to the Sherpa in Nepal. They tell them if they come to church for a year, they church will give them a refrigerator. If the can get a group to do that, then they use it for showing how successful they are to the pigeons in the states to raise money. My lama’s wife went to a catholic hospital in Kathmandu for an emergency operation. They opened her up, the the nuns told her she had to convert if she wanted to be stitched back up. She had to leave with an open, gaping blinding wound, bound up with cloth to find some one to stitch her up. I’ve got worse ones than that to share too.

They slash you open with a hell of a sharp knife. Your friend is lucky she’s not frozen in one of their refrigerator freezers. Meanwhile the cupboards are bare for millions and millions this time of the year. The GOP have cut, and cut, and still cutting back, on health and food stamps and unemployment…………I guess they got something worked out with the churches and religious wing nuts, meanwhile people keep scrounging.

I was going to tell you, I didn’t go to lunch at Cracker Barrel, it got scaped and they put all the Duck Duck items back on the shelf. People need those jobs, but I don’t need their food, or drink, or anything else from them. I am doing a heap of cheap Mexican Food for Christmas.

I remember when she was very sick Dak. I did not know it was a situation like that.

To have the wife of a high lama convert to christianity would be a big selling point for them. I guess they were willing to sacrifice her life for that chance.

Alright, my grievance is a personal one…my husband watches the shittiest shows when he gets home from work…and since we only have one TV, and since he works his ass off in hell…he has control of the remote. Geez…the crap he sits through.

    10000 BC
    Chronicle
some other shit about teenage vampires, or was it some other thing with fairy tales (only good thing I saw was a midget as a bartender.) Good grief.

My other grievance is that this holiday season is taking to damn long to get over with!

Here’s my grievance: I broke my ankle many decades ago and now the injury has come back to haunt me with severe arthritis which inhibits my mobility and quality of life. I’ve been to two different ankle specialists, both male, who looked at my x-rays (I guess) and then marched into the room and told me what surgery he was going to do to fix my ankle. Neither one was interested in listening to what I had to say or what I was going through. I want to tell my story. I want to have my questions answered, but apparently all orthopedists are dudes and they know what they know and don’t give a snot about your life or what impact the injury/surgery has on your life. So what frosts my butt is that THERE ARE NO FEMALE ORTHOPEDISTS!

That’s a good grievance. In my experience doctors are just about useless for anything except writing prescriptions and cutting you open. Otherwise, they just blame you for having something wrong with you that doesn’t need either of those two “solutions.”

I guess my main grievance is that I can’t afford to go to the dentist. I had to borrow $2,000 from my mom to get a root canal, and now if anything else happens, I don’t know what I’ll do. Still, for now I have all my teeth, so I’m glad for that.

Check the dental plans on the affordable heath care site. I got a good one really reasonably priced. My new health insurance plan is better than my old employer provided also and it costs less to me with the tax credits. I will be able to actually use insurance for my meds now instead of buying a discount card from the pharmacy.

    • dakinikat's avatar dakinikat says:

      I wonder why that is?

    • RalphB's avatar RalphB says:

The neurosurgeon who fixed my neck and spinal cord was just wonderful. Patient, kind and explained everything in detail until I was satisfied. There are good surgeons out there so keep looking and don’t be satisfied with some asshat.

This story sounds familiar, has BB written about it before? My grievance here is that it is all too familiar dammit! Texas student reports rape and gets kicked out of school for ‘public lewdness’ | Crooks and Liars

Catching up — great rant JJ and you nailed some of my grievances too!
