It has been a difficult week for me, my Aunt Celeste has been diagnosed with HER2 Positive Breast Cancer. Those who have been readers of the blog know that I am extremely close to my aunt, she is more like a sister to me. So I’m just posting cartoons today.

The Sky Dancing banner headline uses a snippet from a work by artist Tashi Mannox called 'Rainbow Study'. The work is described as a" study of typical Tibetan rainbow clouds, that feature in Thanka painting, temple decoration and silk brocades". dakinikat was immediately drawn to the image when trying to find stylized Tibetan Clouds to represent Sky Dancing. It is probably because Tashi's practice is similar to her own. His updated take on the clouds that fill the collection of traditional thankas is quite special.

So I avoid news but this week I saw a rendering of what the proposed White House ballroom would look like… still haven’t recovered. It is hideous and dwarfs the whole property. I am so pissed – and all the trees he cut down. How is this even possible?????
