The Sky Dancing banner headline uses a snippet from a work by artist Tashi Mannox called 'Rainbow Study'. The work is described as a" study of typical Tibetan rainbow clouds, that feature in Thanka painting, temple decoration and silk brocades". dakinikat was immediately drawn to the image when trying to find stylized Tibetan Clouds to represent Sky Dancing. It is probably because Tashi's practice is similar to her own. His updated take on the clouds that fill the collection of traditional thankas is quite special.

A drive-by mass shooting killed four people and wounded 14 more late Wednesday night in River North, Chicago police said, as gunmen appeared to target a group of people on the street outside an album release party for a local drill rapper.
The shooting took place outside a bar at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, when a large group of people were on the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue.
Patrons were hit outside the Artis Restaurant and Lounge, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, where local rapper Mello Buckzz had planned the party, according to social media.
On Thursday morning, the medical examiner’s office released the identities of two of the dead: Leon Andrew Henry, 25, and Devonte Terrell Williamson, 23.

In a statement posted to social media, club management said they were “deeply” shaken by the shooting and offered condolences to the victims and their families. The bar, which opened April 10, bills itself as a safe space for Black, Brown and queer people to “gather, be celebrated and feel at home in River North.”
“What happened last night disrupted it in the most painful way,” the statement read.
Another fatal shooting occurred at the same address in November 2022, when the property housed a nightclub, records show.
That shooting left one man dead and three other people wounded. County court records show a man was charged with illegal gun possession in connection with the shooting, but no one was ever charged with murder.
