Hey Sky Dancers, it’s official!

Our own Dakinikat passed her orals with flying colors this afternoon. She’s all finished except for making a few changes and turning in her dissertation.

Isn’t it fabulous? It’s been a long, hard road, but she made it just like we all knew she would.

    Congratulations Dr Dak – I hope you find the position you want. There are a lot of people out there that need some practicle comprehension of economics. You also have the skill to explain things to people in a comprehensive way. So – any chance of you telling us the title and abstract of your disertation. It would be great if you gave us the table of contents and conclusions of the disertation.

    Oh – by the way, enjoy the daughters wedding and if you feel comfortable with it – keep us informed on how things are going. 🙂 🙂

    Wow! Calloo! Callay! O frabjous day!

    Nothing quite like the feeling when you’ve Piled High and Deep enough to put that marker on it and be able to get on with the rest of life.

    And having a wedding to get on with will be a fun and glorious change. Wear the hat with the gold tassel at the reception! (Why not? Everybody else will be in funny hats too.)

    Thanks every one!!! What a nice bunch of comments to wake up to! I just conked out last night really early and slept really lat so I just got to read most of them right now. I so appreciate the support and have appreciated the support we have for each other as an online community for nearly three years. As so many things we love and believe in have been decimated by bad decision making and even worse politics, it’s so nice to be surrounded by a community of like, kind, and understanding minds. I love that we each share our experience and expertise with each other to help make sense of what seems like a very mixed up country at the moment.

    Thank you so much again !! Hopefully I can put this terminal degree to some good use. I just really hope it gives me some job security when I get a job and a bigger say in what goes on in my teaching environment and wherever I can make an impact.
