What Do You Miss Most?
Posted: July 8, 2008 Filed under: Hillary Clinton: Her Campaign for All of Us | Tags: Hillary Clinton: A Campaign for All of Us 8 CommentsI was thinking about how much I dread turning on cable news these days. I don’t get much joy out of looking through most of the news papers either. I was watching Austin Goolsbee, Obama’s economic adviser take on one of McCain’s economist over taxes. It was totally predictable and completely vague on details. Wine-thirty came early that day to this little corner of the Ninth Ward. There’s something missing out there. I think it’s some one with wonky answers to the real issues. Unless you enjoy reading how Obama is pushing the already financially strapped DNC to rent him a stadium worthy of a Roman emperor for his I accept your anointment speech or delight in watching McCain try to wrestle a teleprompter into submission, there’s really not much good political reading out there. Maybe the dog days of summer came early. Perhaps it was the news there was a huge hurricane out there in the Atlantic Ocean. That always gives this New Orleanian pause.
Then I got this youtube link from a friend and I realized what I was missing. His note to me said it all:
“I think it is very cute and our tired folks in HillaryLand could use this … Watching it just made me glad, period. ”
I miss her wonky, issue oriented policy details. I miss her smile and her colorful pant suits. Most of all, I miss the genuine warmth I felt when I watched her interact with people and especially with Chelsea. You can see that Hillary Clinton is a woman that cares.
So, enjoy this, my friends. Smile along with Hillary.
TEN OF THE FUNNIEST HILLARY CLINTON COMMENTS OF THE ELECTION

Well, now I miss my President.
Thank you for posting this reminder of what we have been missing. I loved bowling!
I miss hearing from Republican friends and family who were so impressed with Hillary, particularly my ultra-conservative mother who told me on Mother’s Day how she was rooting for Senator Clinton. I miss the positive energy and the concern for America, and how she gained energy with each passing day. I miss the optimistic feelings that finally we were going to have someone fighting for everyday people in the White House again. It was like drinking a glass of champagne every day…and now there’s only ditch water in my glass.
Let’s get her back!
I miss the Lady in the Pantsuit very much. Bring her home (to the White House).
Thank you. I really miss her. She was the only smart, qualified and principled person in the race.
Now we are stuck with Dopey (Obama) and Mopey (McCain).
Um, yay?
I tried to watch a tape of Obama lecturing on our need to know two languages and his stammering and umming left me cold. He almost seemed drunk.
Hillary, on the other hand, reels off information on subjects at the drop of a hat. She’s so impressive. She’s so knowledgeable. Yet America ended up with McCain and Obama. It’s frustrating.
The Democratic Party and 1/2 the voters let someone qualified, smart, hard-working AND with a great sense of humor go in order to select an unqualified bore. How very sad, and how much I miss her royal wonkiness.
