  1. Morning, I hope you click on those instagram post to read and look at the images. I don’t know why they do not embed and actually show the post…

It is obvious that I am a complete and total ally for the LGBTQ+ community, and nothing will change my heartfelt determination that the rights of all people are inclusive and not up for discussion.

So, with that being said…don’t bother trying to change my mind here today. There is so much more to get on with…

I don’t expect to change your mind. I have a nearly irresistible urge to speak for the other side. I’m with the LGB, which is a sexual orientation. TQ+ are not a sexual orientation. LGB rights don’t expect me to deny biological reality or comply with belief in a gendered soul. As long as TQ+ people don’t demand to overrule women’s rights to single-sex spaces and sports, I’ve no problem with their gender religion. I just don’t believe in it.

Simon Edge wrote a great book about flat-earthers — The End of the World is Flat. It’s really funny, if at times in very dry British humor.

The premise, we gather, is that a tech billionaire has an agenda to convince humanity that the world is flat. From this unlikely concept, Edge carefully constructs a performance with a compelling and utterly convincing dramatis personae, and crafts an entirely conceivable plot, a parody that is awkwardly close to reality. Who’s to say, in the unpredictable melee of our increasingly dystopian landscape, that humanity might not suddenly become convinced of a ludicrous idea? Events of the past few years might suggest that, for many, the mental leap has already been made.–Simon-Edge

  3. And with that I’m off to make homemade falafel…will check in later on tonight.

A possible lapse in Social Security payments means the oldest beneficiaries — those over 88 — and the disabled could be among the first to suffer.
