I may remember this post forever. The cartoons are brutal and simply wonderful! The news–except for the backwoods state of Tennesee–is lovely! America the Beautiful!

Fury in NC: Tricia Cotham (D), NC state house representative is switching, or already has switched, to the Republican Party, giving the NC House and Senate a supermajority to override Governor Roy Cooper’s vetoes. Governor Cooper (D) has protected us from the legislation of the Republican lunatic fringe that this snowflake has destroyed. People are furious with her.

  5. I just want to remind you that tonight at 10pm on TCM they are having Brother Orchid with Edward G Robinson. It is delightful!

My favorite is the one where Trump’s very trying day is when he has to remain silent. He needs a gag order pronto.

  7. NW Luna says:

Pence won’t appeal ruling that compels his testimony in front of a grand jury exploring the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Pence’s decision to drop the appeal means he will probably testify under oath about Trump’s attempts to pressure him, and he could be a key witness. Trump and his team could still appeal the ruling, but they have lost similar cases previously.
