Good morning, this is a railway car here in Cornelia…with graffiti that says, “Fuck Trump” …and I fully agree with it!
Important dates:
To explain some of the political cartoon below:

Ugh…these assholes.
In Hollywood news:
I vividly remember being a kid and watching her win that Oscar…and signing to her parents.

Speaking of storms:

This is an open thread…be careful today.
Have a good da
…day.
Txs JJ! I’m having an okay da so far. Really good toons today!
RIP Louise Fletcher!
P.S. Tomorrow NASA is going to try and deflect an asteroid and they will televise it beginning around 6PM ET on their channel. I’m watching a YouTube video about it atm.
“Women deserve Freedom and Bodily Autonomy!”
Brilliant! She speaks the truth, loudly and clearly.
I should be getting my ballot this week. My hope is that our Democratic Senate candidate, Thomas McDermott (mayor of Hammond) will pull off a huge upset in November by beating incumbent Republican Senator Todd Young. McDermott is for abortion rights.
Todd Young is running as a “Marine” and a “Hoosier” in his ads. Literally, he’s running around in shorts (I don’t need to see that). He’s also standing in the middle of cornfields (thankfully not wearing shorts). He’s avoiding like the plague all mention of the Republican Party, Donald Trump, abortion or any other issues.
Young has been in the Senate for 6 years and was in the House for 6 years before that. But he doesn’t want to talk about anything but that he is a Marine and a Hoosier. Pathetic. He can’t run fast enough from the sh*tstorm that is the Republican Party.
And, let me guess, Young is ahead.
(Sorry. I’m feeling down. Sooooooooooooo tired of democracy hanging by a thread. Which is better than over and done with. Which I’m seriously afraid of after November.)
Gee, Q, I am trying so hard to be perky (it’s not my best look) and positive!
Young appears to be ahead (very little polling is allowed in my state so it’s difficult to know) and he has a lot more money ($7 million) to McDermott’s $200,000.
It’s a long shot but who knows? Just keep thinking ‘Kansas’.
Yes, most of the time I manage to keep the lip stiff and upper too 😆
And, yes, I really don’t think all these expert pollsters are taking enough account of how angry women are. Sometimes, though, they’re so sure of themselves, it gets to me.
My favorite cartoon today is ‘Olaf from Germany’ at his 12-step meeting. I wonder who his sponsor is?
I never ever thought I’d say this about a Cheney, but that side of politics needs more like her.
