The Sky Dancing banner headline uses a snippet from a work by artist Tashi Mannox called 'Rainbow Study'. The work is described as a" study of typical Tibetan rainbow clouds, that feature in Thanka painting, temple decoration and silk brocades". dakinikat was immediately drawn to the image when trying to find stylized Tibetan Clouds to represent Sky Dancing. It is probably because Tashi's practice is similar to her own. His updated take on the clouds that fill the collection of traditional thankas is quite special.
You can find his work at his website by clicking on his logo below. He is also a calligraphy artist that uses important vajrayana syllables. We encourage you to visit his on line studio.

“RESIST, INSIST, PERSIST, ENLIST.” - HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON
We just live in a fucked up time. I’m so tired of everything today.
Seconded!
Agree!
The current “strategy,” worldwide it seems, is for people to just catch it and get over it and get enough immunity to make it go away.
Yeah, I know. Hollow laughter.
1) Immunity to this coronavirus only lasts some 3-4 months. 2) The more people catch it, the more human “petri dishes” you have for the virus to come up with new variants.
The current “strategy” guarantees a problem forever.
The only actual solution is to slow down transmission. 1) Rapid vaccination of everybody everywhere, using a vaccine that shuts down the *current* variant, and is fast enough to stop transmission before a new variant can emerge. 2) All the other public health measures that slow transmission: masking, distancing, spending the money to get real indoor ventilation, and spending the money to get UVC germicidal lights in indoor areas where people gather (restaurants, bars, gyms, churches, etc etc etc).
The only place doing any of this, but in a punitive way unfortunately and with a not-very-effective vaccine, is China.
We’re so far away from even talking about real solutions at a government level, which is the only level that could make consistent implementation, that all I feel is more hollow laughter.
Meanwhile Monkey Pox is speading rapidly all over the world.
When people complain about new Covid variants that aren’t very susceptible to the existing vaccines, I just say “Evolution in action!”
Yep, if most people had gotten vaxxed as soon as they could, and practiced reasonable precautions, we’d have it under control.
So I’m watching the tRump documentary Unprecedented…and so far, it is positive view towards tRump. So let’s see if that changes. I’m 25 minutes in.
Ok this is fucking shit.
All clips from news are via Fox..oh he was the best dad…when he had Covid…he was still working at the hospital…
Oh, and the theme music is similar to succession (the series on HBO)
So far the only push back, as far as criticism is against Don Jr.
So going into hour 2 and the love fest continues… and hey all the problems the kids had with the divorce was Ivana’s fault…
Ok, I don’t know how much more I can take.
So now at 41 minutes into the second episode there is a start of some truth coming through. But just a smidge…
Ok, so each episode is about 50 minutes. The first two episodes are practically a showcase of trump is the best greatest etc.
Only Don Jr and Rudy get some pushback.
The third episode….
Good God. I can’t believe your stamina. I’d last about 30 seconds. If that. I still have to quick cover any images that show that orange shitpile face. Bleurgh.
Well Quixote I have been through this much so far., don’t tell me the trumps didn’t have editorial approval.
Third episode is still praising trump. If you can believe that.
Trumps seemingly approval of the situation at the capital is as far as this show will go…it is kindling that trump throws the match on.
That is the most the documentary will go…and that is said by a couple commentators.
Well, that was a waste of three ours.
That was a political propaganda advertisement for trump. They even ended it by playing my boyfriend’s back
Urgh! You have more stamina than I would have!
Moving.
Somebody got my message!
Mega thumbs up! Good for them. Off to read the link.
Hope this is successful. The Rs will start funding their own Coast Guard to stop it.
