I think it is important to be detailed because to say this was a "shooting" is sanitary. Children that young were killed by a weapon that shatters. Young kids would not have identification; they may not be recognizable. There are so many of them. Authorities are figuring 1/

Good morning…there are now reports that when the killer got out of the car and first exchanged gunfire with authorities…he was not wearing body armor.
I will look for that report and link it here.

Officials said they recovered the two AR-15 style rifles from the scene at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. The gunman, who had attended Uvalde High School, purchased one of the rifles from a federally licensed gun store on May 17, the day after his 18th birthday, according to authorities and Sen. John Whitmire, D-Houston, who said law enforcement officials briefed him on the purchases.
A day later, on May 18, the gunman purchased 375 rounds of ammunition. And on May 20, he purchased the second rifle.
Mireles’ husband worked in IIRC law enforcement and had led an active shooter drill at the school just a couple of months earlier. Just another ironic tragic happening in gun-lovin’ America.
