Wednesday Reads: Gov Prop

Cartoons from Cagle:

After seeing a certain Politico tweet yesterday, I had to tweet this:

It looks like I wasn’t the only one to be offended by the “article.”

What the fuck? Is the a contest?

This is an open thread.

Great post!! So many terrific cartoons. My favorite is the Blue-it Brothers. Also loved your responses to the idiotic Politico story on VP Harris.

Who in their right mind wants random people wandering around the house or office unattended? Also love the Fallopians quote, and the menopausal hot-flash heating! My mom had hot flashes into her 70s and I worry that might be my genetic fate too. I remember when there was a new drug introduced in my practice specialty which had the side effect of sometimes causing hot flashes after taking it the 2 times per day it was dosed. Oh, the men who could not stand a mere 2 hot flashes a day! LOL! It was soooo hard not to roar with laughter when they complained to me about it.

Fantastic cartoons! The first is (sadly) my fav.

No good attorney allows a person to wait in their office alone, even if their desk is completely clear. Is Politico crazy? And Bluetooth is a security risk, plus have been studies suggesting a link to brain tumors.

The anti-Harris pieces are beginning to remind me of all the baseless anti-Hillary Clinton wave. The media is ridiculous and aggressive towards smart, Democratic women in politics.

They spent years — years! — being shocked at Hillary Clinton’s dreadfully lax security over 3 emails out of tens of thousands (at least two of which, if I remember right, were classified *after* she received them).

Judging by past performance, we’re in for years of shock at Kamala Harris dreadfully obsessive security over headphones.

Real heroism. I wonder about the size and fitness of the guy. He must be a giant to have the strength to do what he did.

I hear they suspected she was dead before she was pulled from the wreckage based on drone photos. But if this was a suicide, and she didn’t leave a note, thus causing another person to risk his life trying to save her, I’m feeling decidedly down on her. It doesn’t take away from the heroism of the rescue, but it does mean she’s a narcissist.

Someone who’s about to take her own life may have tunnel-vision thinking.

Would have to be. Yes. And she probably didn’t realize the car would get stuck before going over the falls. I guess it’s just the frustration of watching heroism in the service of no result that makes me angry.
