The U.S. is an outlier in its low levels of financial support for young children’s care. Rich countries contribute an average of $14,000 per year for a toddler’s care, compared with $500 in the U.S. The Democrats’ spending bill tries to shrink the gap. https://t.co/convDaRSG6 pic.twitter.com/dLOnFhydNd

After a bit of searching, I found the text of what is generally considered the first compulsory vaccination order for school children in the United States. The Boston School Committee ordered in Nov. 1827 ordered each child to show proof of vaccination by March 1828. 1/ pic.twitter.com/2mG0UhyPK7

The childcare spending numbers are a sad indictment on our country.
I once read or heard something like – you can tell a lot about a society by the way they treat their animals. They probably spend more on their dogs in Norway than we do on our children.
The drawing with the butterflies and the bees being poisoned and falling out of the sky …
Yeah. That one stays with me, too.
Great cartoons, JJ. And such good news about the Bears Ears protection. It would have been abhorrent to have that land torn up for strip mines and drilled for “resource extraction.”
