Happy Father’s Day .

In the cartoon above…I’m a bit confused, why is that obviously a white mans arm being represented as breaking away from the bondage of slavery? Can someone explain it to me… via Cagle by Dave Granland.

Love the Your Dad cartoon! I wish my Dad were still here.

I am able to listen to CDs of my father singing the folk songs he recorded. It is nice to hear his voice, even though he has been dead for many years. My father collected the songs he sang through fieldwork, then my mother would transcribe them. She had a talent for transcribing but she never got any credit for it on the albums.

Must be a relative of that Republican idiot who thought if a woman had more sexual relations she needed to take more birth control pills.
