Sunday funnies….
And now for some tweets:
White evangelicals in massive numbers are refusing to get the vaccine, not because of God but because of Fox News.

Stupidity is a really lousy religion.
Black people wouldn’t vote for Candace Owen for office. The disabled community wouldn’t vote for Madison Cawthorn.

I’m LGBTQ but I won’t be voting for Caitlyn Jenner. Just so we’re clear.
Republican lawmakers in Oklahoma and Iowa have passed bills granting immunity to drivers who hit protesters with their cars. The measures are part of a wave of new anti-protest legislation since Black Lives Matter demonstrations swept the nation. https://t.co/o0GyAAZYYM

I wonder how long it takes to lose the habit of waking and checking Twitter to make sure something unspeakable didn’t happen overnight.
— Leah McElrath 🏳️🌈 (@leahmcelrath) April 24, 2021
I don’t think I will ever loose that habit.
This is an open thread.
Sorry to learn that Karen Carter Peterson lost.
Yeah. The Republicans in Jefferson parish and me pulled him through. He actually has a fairly respectable “pro-life” rating. He has not been known to have women’s backs at all.
Anti-vaxxers wearing the yellow star of david hit me hard.
I saw that yesterday. It’s from London which just goes to show that the US isn’t the only place with right wingers that just don’t get what the symbols they adopt mean.
That first cartoon. 😯 “No, thanks. We’re good!”
That’s exactly it. Staring personal disaster in the face and not seeing a problem with that. Or at least nothing as bad as, say, avoiding it.
I don’t get how it’s even possible.
I don’t either. I’ve had a few patients tell me they’re worried about the vaccine side effects, and it takes a lot of self-control to not blow up at them and yell “So you’d rather have covid side effects? Do you like tubes down your throat and a 30% chance of neurological side effects?”
Seriously. “Hey. Your ship is sinking! Here’s a life jacket.”
“Oh, no thanks. I don’t like the tailoring.”

I wish natural selection worked a helluva lot faster to weed out these idiots.
