I thought blue lives matter was a GOP thing. Tonight the funeral lying in state for the fallen officer, Brian Sicknick, is being covered solemnly on MSNBC and CNN. But not covered at all on Fox or the right wing networks ( OAN, Newsmax) So I guess that was all BS for the GoP. pic.twitter.com/aIhbZaiuq9

Sens. Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, Roger Marshall, Rick Scott, Tommy Tuberville, Richard Shelby, Josh Hawley, Marsha Blackburn, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, James Lankford, Bill Hagerty,Bill Cassidy. RT to expose likely Republican homophobia. Disgusting! Love is Love. This sickens me. https://t.co/Kqvhj2lEMM

Even though Senator Dick Durbin was just named as the new Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Lindsey Graham remains the active seated Chair. This is such bullshit. Why are Democrats allowing Moscow Mitch to obstruct Senate progress? They’re in minority now, act like it!

One Texas woman is granted permission to vacation in Mexico after engaging in insurrection at the Capitol.
Another was deported to Mexico after being a cooperative FBI witness to the massacre in El Paso.

This is absurd. First, they unconstitutionally blocked Garland from having his confirmation hearing when he was nominated for the SCOTUS. And now THIS? I know Graham wants to continue to protect Trump but this must stop. Trump investigations must not be obstructed like this. https://t.co/aZcfwIwZlM

As a public defender, I represented a 16yo for whom I had to beg a judge for release (with escorts, in handcuffs) to go to his dad's funeral.
Meanwhile, someone accused of participating in the insurrection may get to go on a bonding retreat in Mexico.

That sweet bat video made my day.
I know it’s nice to see human kindness.
I almost had tears in my eyes from watching those fragile creatures and their magnificent caretakers.
Yes! Amazing they get that old. There are some cute videos on YouTube of bat rehabs in Australia, mostly flying foxes. Do NOT attempt at home – it requires certain vaccines and know-how.
So, I was out walking Temple this morning when I spied a white guy coming out of the air bnb next door to mine from our perch on the neutral ground. He was walking to a black SUV with Arizona license plates. He had Robert E Lee looking beard and a trucker hat and looked like he was going more for a hunt than a time in the quarter. He sat in the SUV when is buddy joined him equally gray haired and in semi camo looking attire. I decided I wasn’t crossing the street down that away that I’d go further up and circle back to my house. I’ve developed a new tic. I cross the street to avoid old White Men in attire not usual to my city and camo attire and hunting jackets aren’t usual around here.
Be careful, Dak. There are good reasons why the country is on high alert. More violence could be coming. Where and when, who knows?
