I think there are many people who would classify as refugees…in Canada:

And with that I’m going to bed…it’s 2:31am EST.

I’m disgusted, let’s see how this turns out.

    Keep calm.

    Keep counting.

    Get to work.

  2. bostonboomer says:

Biden will be the next POTUS. He’s winning Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona. AP called Arizona last night. I have no idea why MSNBC and CNN are holding back.

  3. RonStill4Hills says:

I gave up on magic in 2016, so…if by NOT praying I tipped it in favor of the bad guys, I apologize.

    • jslat says:

I’m staying calm and trying to keep the faith. This was the scenario Biden’s campaign has been laying out for the past few months.

Biden will have a rough time of it if he is elected and the senate stays in Repub hands.

  4. Autumn (riverbird) says:

    I’m trying to stay calm.

I think we have the WH. Proud that Georgia is changing its stripes, however slowly. Incredibly disappointed we won’t have the Senate and we’re dealing with McConnell still.

I’d like to know why it has become impossible to poll accurately ahead of an election in this country. Does that happen anywhere else? It’s like we get set up for a gut-punch every 4 years.

And states that wait to count mail-in ballots last need to rethink that strategy. Early voting is early voting. Count the votes when they’re cast. Also, throw Louis DeJoy in jail please.

  6. Democrats Abroad woke me up this a.m. and gave me instructions for confirming my ballot was accepted. (It was.) They are calling every ex-pat to let them know they have until November 6 to correct rejected ballots.
Right now, it looks like a 270/268 outcome in Biden’s favour … way too close for comfort!! As well as an ‘us vs. them’ (R vs. D) stand-off, it’s a ‘US vs. TREW (the rest of the world) result. Trump leads the FU battalion against the planet and all its inhabitants of every species.
    Hyperbole? I think not!

Don’t forget to Czech the Poles!(couldn’t help myself after seeing trump’s illiterate tweet.)

I cannot believe this fcking country. I’ll also never be convinced there hasn’t been vote total hacking, what with voting-machine modems connected to the internet and all the other safety flaws in many states’ systems. Jenny Cohn and others have been calling warnings on this.

I’ve looked at Canadian citizenship (distinct from refugee) requirements several times. You have to have certain high-demand skills or job experience and be below a certain age. It pretty much rules out anyone in their 50s or beyond.

    • lililam says:

I have done the same- we should have emigrated 20 years ago. Lost opportunity kind of creeps up on you.

  10. NW Luna says:

Nearly 7 percent of ballots in U.S. Postal Service sorting facilities on Tuesday were not processed on time for submission to election officials, according to data the agency filed Wednesday in federal court, potentially leaving hundreds of thousands of ballots caught in the mail system during an especially tight presidential race.

  11. NW Luna says:

Twitter only put “is disputed” and “may be misleading” about Trump’s lies. Cowards and enablers — Trump’s tweet is just plain wrong.

  12. MsMass says:

Joe just spoke about election. He sounds very positive about winning.

I do want to call out my girlfriends mother Ruthie Topper. She volunteered at the polls in Delaware for 15 hours yesterday and she is 88 years old. She is a superhero hero!!!

    • quixote says:

Wow. That is *amazing*. And it takes *more* doing than any superhero stuff in the prime of life!

It’s people like her who gotten us at least free of the Dump.

Missing on the Senate means Everything Is Still Screwed Up Beyond Hope Of Repair™, but with Harris near the top, at least all is not lost.

    • jslat says:

As a former Delaware poll worker, kudos to her. It’s always a long day.

    • NW Luna says:

Wow! Thank her for me, from all my heart! We’re lucky to have her. I hope she didn’t have to deal with any Trumpist bullies, though I suspect she would not be intimidated.

  14. NW Luna says:

Orange Man-Baby has just filed suit over Georgia’s vote-counting. That means he’s losing, lol!

Guess they wouldn’t take his credit. snicker
