The Sky Dancing banner headline uses a snippet from a work by artist Tashi Mannox called 'Rainbow Study'. The work is described as a" study of typical Tibetan rainbow clouds, that feature in Thanka painting, temple decoration and silk brocades". dakinikat was immediately drawn to the image when trying to find stylized Tibetan Clouds to represent Sky Dancing. It is probably because Tashi's practice is similar to her own. His updated take on the clouds that fill the collection of traditional thankas is quite special.

I think we have the WH. Proud that Georgia is changing its stripes, however slowly. Incredibly disappointed we won’t have the Senate and we’re dealing with McConnell still.
I’d like to know why it has become impossible to poll accurately ahead of an election in this country. Does that happen anywhere else? It’s like we get set up for a gut-punch every 4 years.
And states that wait to count mail-in ballots last need to rethink that strategy. Early voting is early voting. Count the votes when they’re cast. Also, throw Louis DeJoy in jail please.
Democrats Abroad woke me up this a.m. and gave me instructions for confirming my ballot was accepted. (It was.) They are calling every ex-pat to let them know they have until November 6 to correct rejected ballots.
Right now, it looks like a 270/268 outcome in Biden’s favour … way too close for comfort!! As well as an ‘us vs. them’ (R vs. D) stand-off, it’s a ‘US vs. TREW (the rest of the world) result. Trump leads the FU battalion against the planet and all its inhabitants of every species.

I cannot believe this fcking country. I’ll also never be convinced there hasn’t been vote total hacking, what with voting-machine modems connected to the internet and all the other safety flaws in many states’ systems. Jenny Cohn and others have been calling warnings on this.
I’ve looked at Canadian citizenship (distinct from refugee) requirements several times. You have to have certain high-demand skills or job experience and be below a certain age. It pretty much rules out anyone in their 50s or beyond.
I have done the same- we should have emigrated 20 years ago. Lost opportunity kind of creeps up on you.
Twitter only put “is disputed” and “may be misleading” about Trump’s lies. Cowards and enablers — Trump’s tweet is just plain wrong.

I do want to call out my girlfriends mother Ruthie Topper. She volunteered at the polls in Delaware for 15 hours yesterday and she is 88 years old. She is a superhero hero!!!

22 GOP seats up for re-election vs. 12 Democratic seats. Once all the votes are cast for this election, things may look a lot better. Didn’t that happen in 2018? We didn’t see it for the wave it was until all the vote counts were in.
