Wednesday Reads: Black Sabbath

Living the last four years is like being in a Mario Bava horror anthology film.

Every day is something new, terrible and short-lived. Beyond explanation, only with the Bava film you get awesome cinematography and great storytelling. With tRump you get the misery that goes with a real life nightmare.

Check out these latest horror stories:

Is there some sense that even the Pope is moving on with progress and accepting love is love?

I think I will leave it in that positive note.

This is an open thread.

No matter how hard I try to ignore it this shitshow of a presidency manages to catch up to me and its always something worse than before. We have to get rid of him before he brings the whole country down like any Trump project.

I’m confused. Not that Ghouliani would do something like this (of course he would), but if it really happened the way it’s been reported.

Bit of a surprise re the Pope. Still waiting for him to do the really big one.Recognize that half of humanity are actual real human beings.

I think this a different pope than we’ve seen ever before because he was not a colonizer but a person growing up in a different environment that Europeans especially ones from like Italy, etc which have overrun civilizations and indigenous people for centuries. Even though he represents a religion that has been a primary tool for colonization perhaps he has a little less arrogance because he’s not be steeped in the western european chauvinism.

The radical notion that women are human beings will take a loooooong time to be accepted by the Catholic church. Hades, it’s not even accepted by many other institutions.
