Interesting to me that Kemp hasn’t contracted the virus himself based on his casual attitude toward simple precautions. Makes me wonder what measures he takes for himself. I’d bet he’s like Dump – making everyone who comes close take a test.

This morning, we witnessed an open car freight train heading north on the main north south train corridor in central Cali. It was carrying dozens of Abrams tanks- most were the desert tan camo, but maybe less than a third were the green camo color. It was a dramatic sight. Any hint of why? (Other than our strong suspicions) or how to find out?

    • dakinikat says:

That’s strange. No idea how to find out either.

The military does move tanks around in the normal course of events. And so far it hasn’t been the actual military involved with Barr’s Army. It’s been Customs & Border Patrol, Bureau of Prisons enforcers, and the like: armed guards under the direct authority of the DOJ.

Unless the military has decided to follow unlawful orders (which they’ve done before for the Dump, but not on that scale), this is probably unrelated.

None of which is to minimize the atrocious full-on fascism of deploying Barr’s Army against civilians.

    Press Releases
Nadler, Thompson & Maloney Call for IG Investigation Into Trump Administration Use of Force Against Protestors

    https://judiciary.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=3137

In a letter to DOJ IG Michael E. Horowitz and DHS IG Joseph V. Cuffari, the Members wrote, “The legal basis for this use of force has never been explained—and, frankly, it is not at all clear that the Attorney General and the Acting Secretary are authorized to deploy federal law enforcement officers in this manner. The Attorney General of the United States does not have unfettered authority to direct thousands of federal law enforcement personnel to arrest and detain American citizens exercising their First Amendment rights. The Acting Secretary appears to be relying on an ill-conceived executive order meant to protect historic statues and monuments as justification for arresting American citizens in the dead of night. The Administration’s insistence on deploying these forces over the objections of state and local authorities suggest that these tactics have little to do with public safety, but more to do with political gamesmanship.”

Jesus H. Christ, Nadler. You have a fascist clown using Federal guards as a private army to convince his deplorables the country is being burned down by hippies. And once he’s losing the election, the can be used to create chaos then as well. Win-win!

And you’re mumbling about investigating whether this is legal.

It’s like thinking about buying a new refrigerator to deal with global warming.

What did I just say about fascist clowns?

If Congress doesn’t decide to get serious, it’ll be nothing but luck if there’s a democracy left to vote in by November.
