The horror:

That will make the state of Missouri…the only state where abortion is not available at all.

The situation is getting worse by the day.

But…today is a good day, we close on our new house in Dahlonega…so bye-bye Banjoville….I can finally tell you fuck off…for good!

Robert Mueller is going to make some kind of statement on the Russia investigation at 11AM Eastern.

  2. Enheduanna says:

Congrats on your new abode JJ! Dahlonega is a beautiful little town. I went to NGC briefly back in the olden days.

    • bostonboomer says:

I just looked it up. It looks like a beautiful area.

    • Minkoff Minx says:

It is all done. We are officially Dahlonegonians

    • quixote says:

Yes, indeed! And if I have the distances right, Atlanta is close enough to drive toif you need a big city for something. National parks at your back door, right in the Smoky Mountains. I’ll never forget driving through there one spring just as the redbuds and dogwoods were blooming.

      Happy for you! {{{hugs}}}

  3. NW Luna says:

    Good ‘toons, JJ!

  4. Pat Johnson says:

I am expecting nothing from Mueller.

  5. bostonboomer says:

MSNBC reports that Gerry Nadler was told about this ahead of time. The WH was warned last night, but they don’t know what Mueller is going to say.

  6. bostonboomer says:

Mueller implied that Trump did commit the crime of obstruction. If he had been able to say that Trump did not commit a crime, he would have said so.

He made it clear that Russia did interfere in the election in favor of Trump.

    • bostonboomer says:

He doesn’t want to testify to Congress beyond what is in the report. They chose their words carefully in the report and people should read it if they want to know what he thinks. He also said that it is very important that the American people understand that Trump took steps to interfere with the investigation. He implied that Congress needs to address the findings.

  7. RonStill4Hills says:

    Big Sigh!

All he said was, “I WILL NOT DO WHAT THE CONSTITUTION SAYS CONGRESS IS SUPPOSED TO DO!”

    Period.

      • bostonboomer says:

Remember, Barr claimed that Mueller never considered the DOJ policy in making his decision not to indict Trump. Mueller made it very clear that that was the only reason he didn’t indict.

    • Enheduanna says:

Yes! to this – we need televised hearings starting now.

Has Twitler pitched a tantrum yet? When he gets quiet you know it’s bad.

Hi, I found this blog and recognize some other posters from long ago. I hope you like Dahlonega. I don’t live all that far from there. Where in dueling banjo country were you living before? N. GA is full of dueling banjos.

    Off-topic, buuuuut —

US energy department rebrands fossil fuels as ‘molecules of freedom’

Press release from department said increasing export capacity is ‘critical to spreading freedom gas throughout the world’

    “Freedom gas”

I was sure it had to be the Onion. But apparently not. This may be an actual thing. Unless The Guardian is giving The Onion a run for its money.

  13. RonStill4Hills says:

I just heard the story about the White House telling the navy that the USS John McCain had to be “out of sight” when “IL DOUCHE” visited Japan.

OMFG! The most dangerous thing about a loose cannon is not that it goes off, that is what cannon are supposed to do. The danger is that it is not secure. It is equally likely to harm the ship it is on as it is to do damage to enemy ships.

The insecurity of this walking talking inferiority complex will continue to make this country a laughing stock and quite possibly get us all killed.

I am with Nancy, “Ivanka daddy need medical help!”
