Wednesday Reads: Mutha of Dragons

So, on Mother’s Day…pre-GoT burnout, Mitt Romney twitted our a picture of his wife’s special gift:

To wit, the Games really began.

This is my favorite response. I actually started to write this post on Tuesday…thinking it was actually Wednesday. My brain is totally washed up.

A few more observations before we get to the cartoons.

I thought that was awesome.

We lost Doris Day and…

They always seem to come in threes.

Now the cartoons:

Oh, and by the way…

If you watched Chris Hayes last night you probably heard the shit DeSantis said when asked which two counties were hacked…

Let’s not forget the children….born children that is:

And on that note, this is an open thread.

Ok, mayor’s Pete’s Snappy Answer to Trump calling him Alfred E. Newman got beaucoup play on MSNBC.

Will they give any play at all to Kamala’s equally clever smack down? I doubt it.

Also, they keep talking about how the other Dems cannot win unless the attack Beiden, and Biden is a genius because he says he won’t attack them, blah blah, blather blather.

Have they forgotten that it it s race not a wrestling match?

Usain Bolt was always so far out in front that he couldn’t have tripped up the competition if he wanted to.

If they were covering this race properly they would talk about how Kamala and Warren are leaving these other clowns in the dust with the actual positive policy positions they are articulating.

it is the media that wants to see a food fight.

I almost want to tear my hair out, but as a 53 year old man, naw! I am mad but I ain’t crazy!

It’s been a war on women since technology advanced enough for birth control and abortion to be useful to middle class women.

Why in hell did it take 60 years for women to wake up and say, “Hey! Wait! I’m not a brood mare!”

I have to say, that’s also my creeping, awful feeling about the way the wind is blowing.

Yes there’s a bit of handwaving at the edges, but the whole thing reminds me too much of government action against climate change. A proportionate response would be X. What we get is micro-x.

It’s gonna be hard for them to ignore this:

      https://www.wonkette.com/did-paul-manafort-use-that-weird-trump-org-server-to-sext-the-russians-lets-wonkvestigate

Thanks to a FOIA request from David Bossie’s Citizens United (!) this confirms Manafort’s role in conspiring with Russia via that Alfa Bank super seekret server. Bonus – the DeVos are connected via Sprectrum Health somehow.

You’re right that it’s yet more evidence of the same thing they ignored in Oct 2016. But that was a red flag pointing to a bullseye with “COLLUSION” on it in block capitals, and they didn’t care then. (And that’s not hindsight.)

Something would have to have changed for them to care now. Will they lose power or base voters if they don’t pay attention? Not yet anyway. Seems to me that means they’ll just work a bit harder at ignoring the additional evidence.

The Hand Maad’s Tale cartoon is terrifying and true. WTFU America!

  6. Pat Johnson says:

This nation is no longer “the home of the free and the brave”.

Our freedoms are being restricted and there are very few “brave” people in congress. A body elected to protect our rights.
