Wednesday Reads: “If you feel like your ex might show up at your house, me and my bat don’t mind staying over” bitches.

I’m really behind today…

Here is an open thread until I can get a cartoon post up.

For some reason that you tube is not embedded. Can someone please fix it. I am not near a laptop.

I believe that I am going crazy. Hear me out…I feel they will confirm Bart Kavanaugh and then tRump will say he is president for life…pulling a Xi Jinping. Lab will ok it…he what are friends for…tRump will suspend the elections in November, declare marshal law..the tRump 30% will become deputies in the tRump Militia…and the shit will really get bad. I’m still on all my meds. But this is the crap I got running through my mind.

Stuff is so surreal right now I keep thinking I’m dreaming. None of the usual rules apply.

Once upon a time, you could apply a rule of thumb that improbable things probably were not happening. A global conspiracy of fifteen Freemasons was a less likely explanation than simple stupidity. That kind of thing.

But five years ago I would have laughed at the idea that a cabal of misogynist plutocrats could install an unfunny Keystone Kop of a foreign agent as President.

The problem with your fears, Minx, is that they’re merely a bit unlikely. Just push the envelope a bit more than it is right now, and there we are, in that world, going “Wha–? What just happened?”

Given what has happened and is happening — I mean, kids in gulags! — your ideas aren’t crazy. That’s why meds don’t make them go away!

The only comfort is they’re still, at this point, not probable because resistance is *not* futile.

If that happens some lunatic will try to personally remove him from office. He’s created a very scary world so that anything can happen.

TRMS reporting report will be revealed tomorrow.

  6. It all does feel unreal and it feels like a terrible line has been crossed. I know many lines have been crossed since Trump was elected/selected, but this just feels like they don’t worry about consequences at all any more. Locally in my little town, I spoke with a friend today about a mutual acquaintance who rabidly believes in Hillary eats children’s faces kinds of conspiracy theories. Too many people believe that kind of thing and it makes me ill to think of it. This guy already disliked Jewish people based on some sort of new age channeled cult, so I guess he is vulnerable to this kind of belief. I do fear the worst for our country. Kavanaugh, McConnell, andTrump make me sick, as do their enablers. Such transparent elite and oligarchical senators. Ugh.

I’m serious; do you ever think that you passed on-died- and are now in Hell?

    • NW Luna says:

I’m not a believer, but there’s that old saying “Heaven and Hell are here on Earth.”

It’s strange, after a life spent as a paranoid feminist, to reach a place where reality outstrips paranoia. After a life spent explaining why our culture’s narratives are constructed to prioritize men’s feelings over women’s lives, it is bizarre to be able to just turn on the TV and see the President of the United States re-affirm that his thoughts are with accused rapists, not rape victims…

it’s dizzying to realize there’s no floor here, no limit to how low we can go, and that nothing can be taken for granted any more. Re-authorizing VAWA was a basic political courtesy, lip service; it relied on Republicans having enough manners to publicly act as if they believed rape was a bad thing. In 2018, the GOP no longer feels obligated to uphold even that breathtakingly low standard.

If not to undermine non-whites, non-men, non-Christians and non-straights, why would New age Repugs exist? Their lode star is other-hate. They exist for no other reason.

His latest rallies scared the living daylights out of me…his revving up those who do not need ‘revving’ to do horrid things makes him complicit to any impulsive actions that take place and he should be held accountable, along with McConnell and join his pal Bill Cosby.

Ok wait, I am reading that “boofing” is taking pills rectally like a suppository or putting an alcohol soaked tamping up your butt, for the purpose of getting higher faster. Okay, I have heard of that but not he term, but after you get past the “ewwww!”, doesn’t that ad up to another bold faced blatant lie told by Kavanaugh in his testimony? How can he even be considered?

    • NW Luna says:

Yes, one more lie. I wish someone had asked him “So, how often do you still boof?”

As for how he can still be considered — because Republicans.

    Looks like 1% a year.
