Wednesday Reads: Who Cares?

Okay, things have been crazy in the news…and in my home as well…my daughter gets married in less than a month. So this post is just cutting to the cartoons right away, but first:

WATCH: April Ryan Stuns Sarah Sanders By Asking If Trump Has Considered ‘Stepping Down’ | Mediaite

At today’s White House press briefing, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was peppered with questions about President Donald Trump’s angry reaction to the FBI raiding his personal attorney Michael Cohen’s office. At one point, one member of the press corps wanted to know if the president had considered taking a drastic personal action.

“Question: With all of this turmoil, particularly last week, has the president at any time thought about stepping down before or now?” American Urban Radio’s April Ryan asked the press secretary.

“No, and I think that’s an absolutely ridiculous question,” Sanders tersely replied, quickly moving on to another reporter.

While Sanders addressed another reporter, Ryan shouted out that it was “not a ridiculous question,” only to be ignored by the White House spokesperson.

Hey, is April giving Sarah the hand…

Paul Ryan is just about to announce he’s not running for reelection. What a loser.

        Aaaaand….Another one down!

Funny how they’re retiring but they still totally vote with the Dump agenda. That would seem to lend weight to the theory (eg see Kendzior) that he’s got blackmail on them.

If it was purely political pressure, presumably they’d no longer care if they weren’t running.

I saw something on Maddow, where a lot of these Congress GOP assholes got in with Bolton and the Russians who were doing that “thing” with the NRA. I think there is something to that connection and the real possibility that the Russians have “dirt” on all these NRA GOP fuckwads.

  2. Pat Johnson says:

Paul “Eddie Munster” Ryan will not seek re-election.

Boo hoo. This was a man out to privatize the government. He still thinks he is POTUS material.

OK hahahahahahaha – the picture accompanying this article is too funny:

At least he seems to be on the right side of this now.

At least four countries executed people for drug-related crimes in 2017

At least four countries executed people for drug-related offenses in 2017, according to an annual report by Amnesty International — pursuing a policy that President Trump has noted as a possibility for the United States.

The countries known to have executed people for drug-related crimes are China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Singapore. Amnesty’s report states it is also possible that Vietnam and Malaysia executed people for drugs offenses, but it was unable to confirm that.

  10. NW Luna says:

    Surprise, surprise.

  11. Minkoff Minx says:

Geez, every day it is some major multiple news breaking that at one time…it would have taken just one of these daily scandal reveals, to bring down a president or politician.

And it has gotten to the point that I’ve come to expect them. After spending all day with flowers and cake…hearing about Eddie Munster calling it quits, was like no big deal. I mean, I felt like…ok, and what else happened?

I’m becoming desensitized to all this shit.
