      Another link for you tonight: Witnesses Lied Under Oath In Ferguson Grand Jury, Prosecutor Says

      The St. Louis County prosecutor in the grand jury that acquitted Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson said that some of the witnesses called lied under oath.

      “Clearly some were not telling the truth,” Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch said in an interview with KTRS radio on Friday. He said he’s not planning to file charges against witnesses who lied.

      McCulloch said that he wanted “anyone who claimed to have witnessed anything… presented to the grand jury,” and that he didn’t have regrets about calling non-credible witnesses, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

      McCulloch talked about at least one witness who he said appeared to have pulled her account of Michael Brown’s death from a newspaper report.

      The Post-Dispatch reported that McCulloch was referring to Sandra McElroy, whose retelling of events was discredited by investigators.”

      So the asshole knew she was lying before he put her on the stand? Huh? But he was berating the black witnesses, calling them liars, during that long defensive statement he gave at the announcement when the decision was announced.

        I hope the DOJ investigators are paying attention. It seems they need to look into the prosecutor’s office in addition to the Ferguson PD and Michael Brown’s death. I’ll be surprised if they don’t find that Michael Brown’s civil rights were violated.

    I don’t know how McCulloch pulled it off, I can’t understand what the hell is wrong with people. Time to do away with the grand jury system.

    So many great cartoons! The ones making fun of Sony Pictures are great, and I think the one with Pope Francis parting the waters of animosity is sweet. Thanks, JJ!
