Friday Nite Lite: Outta State, Outta Mind

ba1df602bc96e5ffac69d2ce1f282405Good Evening Y’all

Well, the Panthers have another away game tonight, this time it is out of  state…up in North Carolina.

Yup, I’m heading to the state were the recent SCOTUS decision to abolish key portions of the Voting Rights Amendment was celebrated with such glee…they had to sign into law the most draconian bill in the nation against “the Peoples” right to vote. (By the People I mean of course, the people who are considered not “worthy” of that right.)  Yes…North Carolina. The state where a woman is worth less than a plate of cookies! And where the unemployed are pretty much fucked two ways till Sunday, and left up a shit river without a paddle…(Its a river…cause a shit creek ain’t big enough.)

So while I am outta state and most likely going outta my mind, here are your cartoons for this Friday Nite Lite!

These are in no particular order…hope you enjoy them.

This is one of your best cartoon posts ever! I can’t even pick a favorite. I hope the Panthers won!

The Red Sox won their 90th game tonight against the pathetic Yankees.

    • Thanks BB, I thought the one with Zimmerman being parachute dropped into Syria was spot on funny.
Yeah the Panthers won, Jake kicked 4 extra points but Bebe was in a lot of pain and could only sit out the game. Her surgery is scheduled for Tuesday next week, it is going to be rough on her. Two weeks out of school, six weeks in a cast and then six to nine months of physical therapy.

Bite me wingnuts and emoprogs! If only Bush had blundered in Iraq this way …

US-Russia reach agreement on Syria weapons

GENEVA (AP) — After days of intense negotiations, the United States and Russia reached agreement Saturday on a framework to secure and destroy Syria’s chemical weapons by mid-2014 and impose U.N. penalties if the Assad government fails to comply.

The deal, announced by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Geneva, includes what Kerry called “a shared assessment” of the weapons stockpile, and a timetable and measures for Syrian President Bashar Assad to follow so that the full inventory can be identified and seized.

The U.S. and Russia agreed to immediately press for a U.N. Security Council resolution that enshrines the chemical weapons agreement under Chapter 7 of the U.N. Charter, which can authorize both the use of force and nonmilitary measures.

    • RalphB says:

Doctor Saint President Jill Stein would have truly achieved great things. She may have personally participated in drum circles, hackey sack demonstrations and workshops in the creation of giant puppets on her own White House lawn.

      • RalphB says:

ASSAD: “Okay, okay, take the chemical weapons! Take the conventional weapons! Hell, take my watch, just make the damned drum circles stop!“

    • RalphB says:

That’s terrible. I don’t remember floods that bad there before. Climate change must be a hoax so don’t know what could cause freaky weather.

      • janey says:

read up on the prairie fires that ran through states such as Kansas in the 1800’s. A lot of this is natural but we never saw it close up before. And I do believe in climate change. But when you add natural occurrence to climate change and more populous you get REAL disasters.
