Early Saturday Morning Cartoons: Losers and Twinkies
Posted: November 17, 2012 Filed under: Political and Editorial Cartoons | Tags: Chris Christie, drones, eBooks, Hostess, hunting, Obama, Twinkies 39 CommentsSince there was sooooooo many cartoons to share with you this Friday, I have split up the selection into two post. First post is here, if you missed it.
The cartoons in this serving are not really on any one topic, they kind of bend with the breeze. Some of them are funny from a geek point of view, take this first one…I laughed and laughed.
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Book vs e Book reader
Oh man, that is funny…to me at least!
Here are some of the Loser cartoons:
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Papa Johns
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » A Few Turned Up Noses
This next one makes me think of my husband, he is a hunter, so it fits perfectly.
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Deer Hunt 2012
These are some of the cartoons on Thanksgiving, and they blend into the Twinkie theme.
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Thanksgiving Travel woes
You know, I went to Walmart tonight and there must have been a run on Hostess products…empty shelves…big time.
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Twinkie
So much for the Twinkies last forever myth…it truly is the end of the world! If I could draw a cartoon of my own, it would have a Mayan theme with something about the end of days and Twinkies and Ho Ho’s
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Twinkie Economy
Have a great morning! Enjoy your day…
Morning, here are a couple more Twinkie cartoons:
AAEC – Political Cartoon by Gary Varvel, Indianapolis Star – 11/17/2012
AAEC – Political Cartoon by Chan Lowe, Sun-Sentinel – 11/17/2012
JJ,
Thank you for doing this. I got up to write a post and got some laughs instead. I will do something later on.
I’m glad BB…;)
Here’s another laugh: Petraeus Testimony on Benghazi Reveals Conspiracy to Catch Terrorists
ROFLOL! Even Peter King finally had to admit that the CIA had signed off on Rice’s talking points. McStupid and his sidekicks will have to look for something else to be outraged about.
Let’s look at the scoreboard so far:
They tried “Fast and Furious”. Fail
They tried “Solyndra” Fail
They tried the “birth certificate” Fail
They tried “homosexual marriage” Fail
They tried “Acorn” Fail
They tried “Muslim Brotherhood infiltration” Fail
They tried “Benghazi” Fail
No doubt they will keep going because this is what they do. Keep digging even if they have to make it up as they go along.
And in 2014 the Repugs will sing the praises of Obama, much like they’ve been doing to Bill Clinton. Throughout Clinton’s 2 terms both he & Hillary were under a constant barrage –
– Travelgate
– What’s her face with the nose job, Paula something or other
– Jennifer someone, Bill’s “affair”
– White Water
– Vince Foster
– Hillary’s healthcare initiative
– Monica
-Slick Willy & his feminazi wife
And when these clowns got elected, the people thought they were sending them to DC to legislate not “investigate.” Schlocky government dicks who couldn’t prove the sun rises in the East if their lives depended upon it.
Eco…..Don’t forget the 1996 plane crash that killed Ron Brown. They turned that horrible tragedy into an assassination conspiracy. The wingnuts worked that one very hard before it finally faded away. Without a conspiracy theory WTF would they do with their time?
Look for McCain to be all over the Sunday talk shows. Why they keep dragging his butt out week after week for “commentary” is beyond me.
It has gotten to the point that “if it’s Sunday It’s John McCain”.
He won’t go down without a fight. This is the same guy who to this day will not admit that Palin was a sorry choice but instead maintains he is “proud” of that decision even when it was revealed that much of her time during the campaign she was curled up in a fetal position and close to a breakdown.
A bitter, creepy old man who is unable to recover from his losing bid to become POTUS.
I often wonder how he and Lindsay Graham manage to get through doorways since they are joined at the hip.
It’s “Sunday” all right. The list of Sunday shows and a returning cast of familiars:

Set your alarms!
guess I will go buy some Ho Ho’s and smash them, then frame them for xmas gifts from the Ding Dong’s in Idaho.
LOL! And twinkies will never be able to be used again as a defense in a court of law!
Oh, good one! 🙂
ROTFL
I love your cartoon collection, JJ. I confess that I steal one each week and put it on my FB page. This week, the Papa John’s comic won the distinction.
About Hostess. All I’ve heard is how the unions drove the poor company out of business. I’m sure the fact that they made terrible products that consumers learned were horrible for you to eat, had little or nothing to do with the failure of that business. No no, it was the UNIONS!!!!!
The fact that they have been bankrupt twice over the last 10 years with really lousy management couldn’t have possibly had anything to do with it. 😉
Ugh. My teeth start getting cavities at the very thought of Twinkies.
I tasted a Twinkie once. It was one of the most horrible tastes I’ve every put into my mouth. Blech, blech, blech!
Almost as bad as the corn dog I once bit into.
Followed Ralph’s link to a proposal on lifting the SS tax and saw this on the page:
And I thought they tasted terrible, too. Haven’t even looked at them in over 30 years!
It’s kind of crowded here in parts of town this weekend. We have an F1 race going with qualifying heats today. There’s over 200k fairly well heeled visitors in town, yeehaw. Sure hope they leave a lot of their money behind when they go home.
Where, Ralph? What town? The reason I ask is that hubby keeps saying he’s always wanted to attend an F1 race. He was in Singapore and had to leave just a few days before the F1 race happened there and he’s never gotten over it.
Austin, TX Gran Prix of the Americas (or something like that). They’ve up’ed the estimate for the tourist count to about 300K now. There is a 10 year deal to put on this F1 race every year at present. Downtown from South Congress to about 15th St is closed to auto traffic for a Fan Fest through Sunday.
We’ve had some rich-on-rich complaining because the people who live in the high priced condos downtown are disturbed by the noise from a boat load of helicopters ferrying other rich people into the downtown area and back out etc, Can’t expect them to drive 🙂
My daughter told me there were so many helicopters flying in and out of downtown area yesterday she thought it was an episode of the Jetsons. There are temporary helipads in several locations. The city had all their employes go home at 2:00 pm yesterday to avoid the expected traffic crush but, so far, it’s moving OK.
Heehee, “…rich on rich complaining…”
Sounds like we need to plan on revving up the chopper and head down your way one of these years. 😀
It would be a good idea and the race sounds like it would be a good time. I like F1 racing myself but decided to not attempt attending the first race here at a brand new facility. Give them this year to get any kinks out and next year I may give it a go.
I look forward to your chopper landing nearby one of these years 🙂
Thanks for the info. We’ve both been wanting to visit Austin but other than the fact that some former neighbors moved there, we haven’t had much of an excuse. I think this will do it. His eyes lit up when I mentioned it. Should be fun!
Cute 🙂
Barack Obama Is Not Impressed (PHOTO)
He looks like he’s having fun too!
I thought it was a cute picture. At least they have personality and are not just drones.
Good morning post JJ. Love the cartoons!!
Hey Mouse, TBogg says that Charles Pierce has officially dubbed Lindsey Graham: Huckleberry Closetcase. Sounds like a workable name to me. 🙂
ROTFLMAO!!!!!! That’s perfect 🙂
Ron Barber wins a full term keeping Gabby Giffords seat Democratic
Arizona Republic: Barber Wins Congressional Seat
Wow!!! Very good news. Where does that put us in the House, do we have 197,198 seats? I
I think we’re up 8 but don’t know the totals. Bilbray lost in CA so that’s another Rep down announced yesterday.
John Arovosis has a nice find about Huckleberry Closetcase. Worth a read.
AMERICAblog: GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham running campaign ads on Benghazi tragedy
President Obama’s weekly address. He’s on message.
They caved in to West again, this makes it a third recount: Votes to be retabulated in Florida congressional race – CNN Political Ticker – CNN.com Blogs
Damn, being a teahadist sore loser asshole works for him, apparently.
