Yeah, I am running late tonight. For some reason I kept telling myself that it was a Thursday. Well anyway, I have got lots of cartoons for you tonight.
This first one is very clever…see how long it takes you to catch it. Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » General Petraeus
I will stick with the Housewives of Mac Dill AFB…and the Generals and Spies who love them…
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Pants on the Ground
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Spy Who Loved Me
I didn’t think that cartoon was too funny, but I do love that Carly Simon tune however.
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Petraeus Pillow
Now, that cartoon is way better than that movie Pillow Talk with Rock Hudson and Doris Day.
This next one is funny…Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Afghaniscandal
On to another take on the scandal, this one is from the viewpoints of a couple of ol’ queers…Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Heterosexuals in the military
Damn, ain’t that the truth.
I’ve got a few more, Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Love General
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Sex Scandal
Alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enough of that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was a great post by Dakinikat today, and it had a very profound ending. This next cartoon accents her post so well.
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Pray to the Lord
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Control panel Middle East
Peace and Revenge…hmmmm.
This next one is one of my favorites tonight…and it deals with the Twitter War: Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Tweet War
Too funny!
Ah, and what about the new Succession talk? Well, the cartoonist have been busy with that topic too. Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Government Check
I think Bill Plante used to be a cartoonist for Chattanooga’s newspaper back in the mid 2000’s, so he has first knowledge of this kind of mentality.
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Cool Movement
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » House Divided
Wow, this is a long post…I think I will split the Friday Nite Lite into two….so let’s end with a cartoon to make us all laugh.
Cagle Post – Political Cartoons & Commentary – » Rolling Stones
Well, the second batch is coming up…be sure to check back later tonight or early tomorrow morning.
This is an open thread.
And all today it was like I was back in time…before 1995. Strange stuff.
Hey girl, you done good tonight. Very entertaining. Re your feeling of dejas vu, at least you only go back to ’95. I’ve got 40 years before that to shiver about re-visiting.
It was so strange, I dozed off this afternoon and had a dream about being at my Nana’s house, and arguing with her about all the old telephone books she had stashed in the junk drawer. And I was saying that she needed to get rid of all of them but the one from “last year” which was the one for 1994.
I watched a weird movie with Jonathan Winters and huge number of 1960s comics. There was a scene with a bunch of military brass and scantily clad women. The brass were dropping trou. It was so deja vu.
Ha, this one is funny too…:11/18 Luckovich cartoon: Gobblers | Mike Luckovich
11/16 Luckovich cartoon: Outta here | Mike Luckovich
…and don’t let the door hit you on the way out!
My favorite were the Taliban and heterosexuals in the military. And if you are not yet sick of General Petraeus humor, I have my own post about him:
http://listofx.wordpress.com/2012/11/16/10-lessons-from-the-general-petraeus-sex-scandal/
Hey, that last one is funny…about learning how to spell Petraeus. Tru Dat.
Great cartoons. I don’t know if I “got” the 1st one or not. Is it his “camo” shirt? I think my fave is “Pray to the Lord.” Funny how it seems most of those doing the praying don’t ask for peace. It’s generally us secular heathens who are more interested in peace.
Been watching MSNBC all night. Can’t remember which show but did ya’ll know that Petraeus never led any combat missions. I think the person that stated that was a retired colonel & he asked how does someone advance to Petraeus’ position/rank & never served in combat?
And regarding the Kellys, NPR said 2 days ago that the Kellys paid $1.5 million for their mansion & have not paid a dime on their mortgage since 2009. Guess it helps to have connections.
Yeah…with the women and the kiss lips.
Never served in combat? Well, it seems like he moved on up because of keeping quiet about all those meetings and questionable activities during the Bush era. Petraeus seems to be in the shadows a lot in that book 500 Days.
