Friday Nite Lite: Open Thread and Play Ball

Good Evening!

I’ve been looking forward to tonight’s post, there sure was plenty of cartoons to choose from…that usually is the case when we have a big news week. Tonight we take a look at some cartoons which I sincerely hope will make you smile.

Some of them are about Penn State, and the disgusting actions of the University’s coaches and administrative staff.

When I first saw this cartoon by Wilkinson, it was a small thumb size image…and I thought the man with the bag over his head had a set of huge balls…well, I guess large sums of cash can give you the illusion of big cahones.

    The junior Stallone was reportedly found at home in Los Angeles. TMZ reports that his father is extremely distraught. The Post spoke with Sage Moonblood Stallone’s attorney, who said the death came as a complete shock.

    “He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of projects,” George Braunstein told the paper. “He was planning on getting married. I am just devastated. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy.”

  3. BBC News – Hollywood producer Richard Zanuck dies

    Prolific Hollywood producer Richard Zanuck has died aged 77, suffering a heart attack at his Beverley Hills home.

    Dick Zanuck, as most people called him, was best known for his work on films such as The Sound of Music, Driving Miss Daisy and Jaws.

    Son of Hollywood royalty, he became the youngest studio head in history when he took over 20th Century Fox aged 28.

    His friend Steven Spielberg called him a “cornerstone of the film industry”
