      Yep….Hang in there Girl.

      Me too. ((JJ))

    • It is hell. And like so many times, shit always piles on. Now my brother has to have some teeth pulled, which medicaid does not cover. He needs to be put out, because of his downs, we tried the gas only and it was no happening. That is 600 bucks. I think I am going to fucking loose it.

We don’t have the peachcare for the kids because Dan is like 20 bucks over the monthly salary allotment. The fucking insurance thru walmart is 400 a month, with a 5000 deductible. I only say these things to illustrate a point, that you all know…fucking people get screwed by these jackass politicians. Which I include both parties…in that fuck up too

      I am mad.

I have to ask: where the hell is the outcry from the latest SCOTUS decision to harness women even more?

The hue and cry from the cancellation of “Duck Dynasty” led to the network involved changing its stance and reinstating that horrible group back on t.v. A stupid t.v. show featuring stupid people holding radical ideas was held up as an example of “freedom of speech” while a law that damages women – 51% of the population – only garners a few talking heads to “tsk tsk” the decision.

We are on a slippery slope here, far more than what 5 justices deemed “unfair” to the corporations, yet no one seems to give two hoots when compared to the “Duck Dynasty” fiasco or the online outpouring of sympathy to the guy who has been accused of deliberately leaving his toddler in a car for 7 hours where he baked to death.

The priorities of this country is totally out of sync with the importance of where we now find ourselves. For me, the separation of church and state is one of the big ones. Once that law has been breached insanity moves right in.

But wait: apparently what Kim Kardashian is – or is not wearing today – far exceeds where this nation is heading.

It may not be Sharia Law in all its entirety but it is getting close.

Just hand me the popcorn and let me watch morons cavort in the swamps as they “preach” morality to the rest of us and leave me alone! Women just need to learn their place.

I guess that more or less sums it up.

I so agree with you. For years now, friends and family would send me email that somebody was taking away their rights to prayer. This activism started before I was even born, and it’s gotten to the point of a frenzy. When our legislators added the words “Under God” to the pledge allegiance that when it started. I remember that so well. Now all I hear is bring back prayers to the schools. I’ve lost long time friends, and even my relationships with family. They have driven me further away with all the emails, so I had to shake it lose. You can thank the Jerry Falwell movement that took a ship load of our tax dollars and proceeded to commit fraud on the good citizens of this country. It wasn’t just him either, look what the catholic church has done, and look what the bishops have done to our children (raped and abused them). They have taken a stance against birth control since the 50′s. Both churches have lost leadership roles, and since the Iraqi War, they are hell bent on getting more money and more power, and keeping women as second class citizens. We are heading towards big trouble with the current activist in all aspects of our society, it’s a cancer, or as Chomsky says a “virus”. Now is the time for women not to accept being silence, to fight with all her might.

What is really distressing me is that group of people that threatened buses of women and children because they were coming here to escape violence in their home countries. What is wrong with people?

        • ANonOMouse says:

I agree Dak, that was the most disgraceful exhibition of xenophobia in motion I’ve ever witnessed. Waving their American Flags and taunting the people on the buses with “USA, USA”. How is it they were allowed to block a public road? If that group had been African American’s or Lesbians and Gay men, or Women protesting for equality we would have been arrested and taken to jail, but a bunch of TeaNuts can threaten and scream and intimidate and the buses were forced to back up and go to another facility. It was all too disgusting

The Executive branch (Obama) of government has got to stop allowing those assholes to run wild. It just makes the problems worse when they get away with it.

This video takes me back to the 60′s. It’s both infuriating and frightening.

          • NW Luna says:

What’s next, the equivalent of yellow stars on immigrants’ clothes? Makes me sick. Get the cops off people driving while brown/black — they need to charge these vigilantes with domestic terrorism.

    • ANonOMouse says:

Ditto to all of the above

      • dakinikat says:

Those images remind me of desegregation and busing crowds.

        • ANonOMouse says:

Me too, it’s the 50′s and 60′s all over again. And I saw much of that person on person hatred with my own eyes. It’s ugly enough on video but it’s even uglier in person.

Oh no, JJ, are those insulated lunch bags useful for meds to keep them cool? It’s awfully nice to see you up and running on the blog, keep yourself at good pace. By the by, damn donuts. Those were my child hood weakness……..and pepsi cola.

  4. Fannie says:

I’m telling you, Noam Chomsky really knows how to size things up. His title hints that it’s not Johnson’s War on Poverty, but the War on the Globe that’s doing us in.

Lately I have been using the term “deep freeze his or her ass”……….now it has a different meaning, considering the thaw, which is old, but new in the same moment of time. I often use the term when I hear someone attacking Obama. I mean we have been attacking presidents since day one, but like Chomsky point out we have a Mega Media of Outlets, and they are not so honest. I am thinking about changing my connections to these outlets, it’s fucking costing me a leg and a arm. And deeply disturbing about the games they play with us, and the lies.
But for Obama, he’s been hit like no other President in our time. When we look at what he took over when he was elected, and look at the unemployed and the sinking of middle America into poverty, damn I want to give him a clap, because he’s really being attacked because he is our Black President. This whole country, came to “silently accept” the bs that we lost our country because of him, and all of a sudden they want it back. Then I am look over at the stock market, and hell they’ve been doing fucking good since Obama stepped into office.

I didn’t realize that we agreed to support UN Security Council resolution calling for the International Criminal Court to investigate war crimes in Syria, but added a “proviso” that there wouldn’t be inquiry into possible war crimes by Israel. Or by Washington. I knew that we didn’t belong to the court, and as Chomsky pointed out we are “self immunized” from the system.

As he continues on into the state power positions/policies, he points out the radical attack on the
constitution by the Obama administration’s massive surveillance program, and how he justifies it under the umbrella of national security. He goes on to say that when the NSA’s program was exposed by Edward Snowden’s revelation, that the Obama officials said it prevented 54 attacks, then it got whittled down to 12 attacks, and then finally it was only “ONE” case in Somalia.

So the deep freeze and big thaw comes down to global warming and nuclear weapons. We are going to self destruct. I sure the hell hope the republicans self destruct, you can clearly see the unrest because of the tea party, religious right, and wing nuts. They have created a shitload of problems for this Administration, for our country, and for the international community. Slicing and defunding programs that help sustain the middle class and poor has been their major policy.
They haven’t created a freaking job for anybody, and they argue about bullshit and Obama can’t get a damn thing done. They won’t let him deal with regulations for coal, for energy, they won’t let him fill the kitchen cupboard with foods, will not let his wife grow a healthy garden, nor will they educate our young people. We really are short on engineers and scientist. We need other alternatives to energy, clean air, water, and we are consuming hazardous crap all over this country. But hey, the republicans feel damn good about the gains they have made in stock markets.

The churches are playing their part, they want the world to come to an end.
