Real quick…I saw these headlines and now I wonder…is this Hillary’s turn under the bus.

I know that this is all part of the Fox/GOP/Right-wing plan, but as I read through these stories it occurred to me…what would keep Obama from sticking it to Hillary? Hey, she is leaving at the end of his term anyway…maybe I am just being to overly sensitive on all this. I sure hope the attack on HRC will “backfire.”

Tell me I am crazy, and that maybe I’ve got a fever or something…I probably shouldn’t have posted my thoughts…oh well.
I’m sorry if you have a fever but Obama isn’t sticking it to Hillary. The Republicans are going after them both but the target is the one who is running for reelection, not the one who is retiring.
Obama needs Hillary. He isn’t going to stick it to her. She can handle Issa with one hand tied behind her back.
Obama can’t afford to dump Hillary. If he did, he’d have to wave goodbye to Hillary, Bill & a 2nd term. Bill would bury him.
Watch the Soledad interview with Chaffetz. The Repugs denied State Dept funding for increased security. Hillary asked for additional funding & she was turned down. The fault lies directly at the feet of Congressional Repugs. They turned their back on the Libyan embassies & now want to blame anyone else. Yet, they are the party of Responsibilty – yeah, right. They are the 47% living off the government dole who refuse to take responsibility for their actions, which contribute to the suffering and deaths of Americans.
You’re not crazy. I think Hillary can take care of business just fine, but the Obama Admin hung Susan Rice out to dry…so its perfectly reasonable to be concerned about Hill.
Show me a statement from the admin which hung Susan Rice out to dry. She was defended in the State Dept testimony during Issa’s hearing.
like Rice went out there and gave the video explanation without someone in the admin wanting her to put that info out there and signing off on it? Either somebody pushed her out there on that limb…or she’s suddenly become a lot stupider than she has been her entire career in DC.
Somebody screwed up and put that information out their first for Susan Rice, that’s my guess.
Rice got the info from the CIA. They are the ones who screwed up. Rice is one of Obama’s longtime close friends. Why would he hang her out to dry? This is all happening because we have such a sucky media. Darrell Issa has no business even investigating this. In the first place there is an official investigation going on already and in the second place, the Intelligence Committee is the appropriate place for any investigation. Issa does’nt even have security clearance to see classified info.
Rice is taking the fall for the rest of the Obama admin. I can’t/don’t believe she went out there and said that w/o being on the same page as the WH.
Rice reported what she had at the time from intelligence agencies.

Who said Rice was going anywhere? I’m just skeptical on the Obama admin’s handling of this situation and don’t really enjoy seeing a black woman once again, first Condi Rice, now Susan Rice, being the fall person twice in a row for the CIA and the entire WH screwing up.
Of course, the way Fox News and the right wing are trying to turn this into political capital for the GOP is despicable (may they fail miserably, all things being equal), but it doesn’t mean the WH is covering itself up in flowers here.
BB what’s the source of CIA putting that out, technically they are a branch of Homeland Security, and created by Bush, so that could be it in a nutshell. Susan Rice would have had approval to speak as Ambassor to UN, under the state department.
From what was said early on, all the talking points used by Rice, Obama, and Clinton came from the CIA. They were supposed to be what the initial intelligence indicated. Who knows what anyone really thought?
As for Susan Rice being put out on a limb, it would help to remember that Obama used the same talking points himself at the time.
It just seems like Susan Rice has gotten the lion’s share of the bad rap in the headlines as if she went out there first and misled her boss, bad intelligence or not.
Peter King called for her to resign but he does that to someone all the time. She’s just in the line of fire with a lot of other people. During the hearing one of those they pounced on is a career diplomat who has served under six presidents. They kept interrupting him and wouldn’t let him answer questions. Just typical bullying asshole behavior.
I agree, the Administration gave her her talking points, because Joe Biden is making sure no woman will run against what he believes is his prize in 2016. In the Anita Hill hearings Joe Kept other women in a hotel, without notifying the committee or the press and Anita Hill looked like a liar and a fool for coming forward. We have Joe Biden to thank for Clarence Thomas and his life term of voting against Women’s Rights.
If Pelosi, Axelrod, Donna Brazile, party chair and Obama went as far as not counting her votes in the 2008 Primary, I won’t put anything past them. Few people know Hillary got more votes, Obama won the delegates via Chicago style politics. I won’t forget that.
Hillary will continue to work for women’s issues, girl’s issues, children’s issues and Human Rights. In the long run he light will continue, she was who she was before anyone every heard of Obama and his political machine.
In the beginning I meant Rice, and at the end it was ‘her’ meaning Hillary’s light will continue to shine. I get too upset on this topic.
I just went back to see the agencies under homeland security that was created by Bush via executive order back in 2001………………..there’s a long list, and some agencies are classified.
Maybe the CIA needs more housecleaning and re-organizing, and the reality is they could very well be part of real problems we face in other countries, I mean they have a history. Just saying.
Wasn’t that part of what Panetta was supposed to do?

Not to worry, JJ. Obama isn’t going to throw Hillary under the bus. She’ll be fine.
Bill and Hill are two of Obama’s greatest assets and he’s smart enough to know it. He needs Bill out there campaigning for him. Big Dawg will be in Indianapolis tomorrow to stump for Obama and the down-ticket Democrats. People are excited about it.
Issa should go back to his real calling in life – car theft.

Beata, I don’t think Obama will throw HRC under bus now… this week, but call it a hunch that he will before her time with State Dept is up. I just feel it.
The one thing she has in her favor, JJ, is that their fates are sort of entwined at this point. It would be almost impossible for him to somehow manage to successfully cut her loose without experiencing some of that blowback you mention. We just have to hope that the risks continue to outweigh the benefits.
Also stealing older people’s retirement savings, telling kids to go play in the street, etc.
Leon Panetta was not part of Bush’s reorganization of CIA into Homeland Security, but I think he was director CIA, and then appointed as US Sect. of Defense, completely different agency.
I think David Patraeus is head of CIA now? I need to check on that. Anyways this all gets complicated and I am not so sure.

Here’s a question, why was Stevens in Benghazi on 9/11? I don’t know how long exactly that the embassy has been at Tripoli, but it wasn’t there when Goddaffi was in power. So was he ordered to the consulate, or did he dicide to go on his on? There is an officier in charge of consulate, known as consulate general? Was there one in Benghazi? Might want to know how a lack of funding being denied by the republicans might have led to some decisions made because as I mention in Detriot………….the police put up a sign, enter at your own risk.
I don’t know, but the rightwing flame throwers are out in full force in order for Romney to be the winner. That’s not rocket science to figure out.

This is what I worry about, A Pew Research Center poll released Monday found that both Obama and Romney have about 47 percent support among women, representing a big jump for Romney and a big drop for Obama following the first presidential debate.
