Texas Judge: Extra Law Enforcement Staff Needed in Case Obama is Reelected

Judge Tom Head with Texas Gov. Rick Perry

You just can’t make this stuff up. Lubbock County Judge Tom Head appeared on Fox 34 News in Lubbock, TX on Monday night to warn the population of the danger that lies ahead if President Obama wins reelection in November. The threat is so serious that he wants to increase property taxes in order to increase salaries for attorneys in the DA’s office and hire seven more sheriff’s deputies to deal with the possible Obamapocalypse.

Judge Head said he and the county must be prepared for many contingencies, one that he particularly fears, is if President Obama is reelected.

“He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens?,” Head asked.

“I’m thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.

“Now what’s going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He’s going to send in U.N. troops. I don’t want ’em in Lubbock County. OK. So I’m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say ‘you’re not coming in here’.

“And the sheriff, I’ve already asked him, I said ‘you gonna back me’ he said, ‘yeah, I’ll back you’. Well, I don’t want a bunch of rookies back there. I want trained, equipped, seasoned veteran officers to back me.”

How on earth does the Stupid Party GOP find these people?

Apparently some people were a bit concerned about the good Judge’s remarks, so today he recorded a rambling video in which he attempted to “clarify” things. According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, the Sheriff has no recollection of any conversation with Judge Head about revolution or whatever Head is planning.

Just minutes ago, Sheriff Kelly Rowe said he’d never discussed any of the scenarios described by Head.

The White House media office had no immediate response Wednesday morning to Head’s remarks.

AJ reporter Andrea Sinclair is at the Lubbock County Commissioner meeting, and, Head said his remarks were taken out of context. He said he was referring to a “worst case scenario” if Obama is re-elected.

Sorry, Tom, that dog won’t hunt. Just like your fellow Stupid Party GOP members Todd Akin and Paul Ryan, you said what you said on videotape. We can all judge your remarks and their “context” for ourselves.

It’s like mass insanity has swept so much of the country!

    • ANonOMouse says:

I think they’re smoking something that brings on these psychotic episodes 🙂 In my youth I smoked a joint that made me think I could swim across the Atlantic Ocean, at night! Needless to say that was the last joint I ever smoked.

      • dakinikat says:

“He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens?,” Head asked.

Where do people get this stuff?

      • janicen says:

Hahahahaha! Wow, now that was some whacky tobacky! The stuff we got back when I was in college (I’m talking the seventies) just made us want to eat an entire bag of Cheetos!

      • ANonOMouse says:

I think I got a weird strain, maybe laced. A friend told me it was “The fine Colombian”. You remember the kind that made “tonight a wonderful dream”? No kidding it really messed me up badly. Before I tried to swim the Atlantic Ocean, in the dead of night, I spent an hour guarding my sneakers because I thought someone was coming to get them, and they were ugly. 🙂

      • ANonOMouse says:

“Where do people get this stuff?”

He’s just another one of the crazy people who buy into the Obama, secret muslim, terrorist scenario, only this one has a Texas Twist. The SS really does need to investigate these folks, they’re not fit for public office.

      • Fannie says:

People use to get this shit from the tabloids…..sadly it’s coming from well paid governmental officials who are very child like, say 3/4 year olds.

      • Dak, I think they are getting it from Glenn Beck. I hear it from my friend in Iowa all the time. Beck was having a rally in Texas this summer, wonder if this judge went to it.

  2. ecocatwoman says:

I heard this story on the way home from work tonight & I couldn’t do anything but shake my head & laugh. Not that it is funny in any way – it’s clearly another case of testosterone poisoning. It is definitely past time to include a thorough mental health exam for anyone who qualifies to run for an elected office.

This story, from Raw Story, about a model that has correctly predicted the outcome of the last 8 presidential elections: http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/08/22/election-model-with-100-success-rate-predicts-romney-victory/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheRawStory+%28The+Raw+Story%29 Romney will win. Headline the next morning? AMERICA IS DOOMED!!!!

    • bostonboomer says:

Oh god, I don’t even want to think about it. We will need reinforcements if that happens.

    • RalphB says:

Note: They went back and ran their model to predict those elections. It’s one of those “all things being equal” models and that’s certainly not the case this election. I think it means essentially nothing.

      • ANonOMouse says:

Whew!!!! Thanks for telling us that Ralph, I was already working myself up into a dither.

      • northwestrain says:

I don’t think that there is a useable model for this election.

Several million people don’t know who Romney is and that he is a Mormon and that he has gotten rich by killing American jobs.

Plus Romney and Ryan are extreme on many issues that people don’t really want to talk about.

Mormon women are taught to be submissive — that isn’t going to go over well with most normal non-cult raised women. Mormons aren’t true Christians — they have some of the same beliefs but they aren’t part of the Bible Belt Christians. Although the Bible belt Christians want their women submissive as well. Romney’s religion matters a great deal — he has greater allegiance to his church than to the Nation.

In the coming days we are going to see a whole bunch of the nutjob/windbag GOPigs feeling free to talk to their true believers. One of the reasons why the Evangelicals may decide to vote for Romney/Ryan is because of the End Times and Romney’s willingness to help the End Times along. Both the Mormons and the Evangelicals are dogmatic on this mythology.

The Evangelicals won’t vote for 0bama anyway.

(I’ve done a lot of research on this subject — my Experimental Psy research paper was on Religiosity and Personality. )

  3. Seriously says:

Will there be a webcam? I really want to see him stand in front of an armored personnel carrier and tell them you’re not coming in here.

  4. ANonOMouse says:

The only thing more stupid than the Judge’s remarks, is his feeble attempt at walking them back. You can’t makes this wacky shit up. These people are totally crazy

  5. dakinikat says:

I think the Secret Service should start investigating these people frankly.

    • ANonOMouse says:

I agree dak!!! If this judge makes that sort of statement on video you can only imagine WTF he’s saying to his pals at the hunting lodge.

      • ANonOMouse says:

The commentator in that video saying “um-hum”, “um-hum” after each of the Judge’s ridiculous pronouncements was priceless. You could almost hear him thinking “Oh my god”.

    • janicen says:

I completely agree. Just change his religion to muslim and he’d have “feds so far up his ass he’d be tasting Brylcreem”. (ht The Sopranos)

    • RalphB says:

      Yes, they should.

    • northwestrain says:

Oh god yes — investigate these idiots for screaming fire. There are so many uneducated crazy people out there who believe the pearl clutching racists like this judge. At this point I’ve got to call these GOPigs out for being racist/sexist subhuman jerks. Always the racist and sexist are joined at the hip.

Protect the Prez — we don’t need and we won’t survive a Biden. He is the real enemy of women.

  6. ANonOMouse says:

And one more Batshit Crazy Right Winger.

“A candidate for sheriff in New Hampshire said Wednesday that he would be willing to use deadly force to prevent a woman from terminating her pregnancy.”

    http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/08/22/sheriff-candidate-would-use-deadly-force-to-stop-abortions/

    • dakinikat says:

Yes, like he really knows what’s medically necessary for women. What is wrong with these guys? They must have no idea what goes on and wrong with pregnancies.

      • Pat Johnson says:

You are assuming that they care. They don’t.

They see women as “asking for it” even in the case of rape. How she was dressed, or just being in the same venue “invites” whatever awaits.

Thus, if you become pregnant, complications or not, you WILL carry to full term even if you die in the process because “somewhere it is written”.

  7. Clifford Spencer says:

We are supposed to be a sovereign nation based on the Constitution.
    Are we?

    • dakinikat says:

Which basically means no one can turn us over the United Nations …. I’m assuming you know that? Three branches of coequal government, yes? The Constitution doesn’t hand the reign of government to a president for pete’s sake!

  8. Pat Johnson says:

This is all about race. Nothing can convince me otherwise.

Why else would any normal thinking person plan on voting for a party that:
    1. Rejects women’s rights.
    2. Redefines the meaning of rape.
    3. Rejects seniors, the handicapped, vets, children by defunding Medicare/Medicaid.
    4. Denies science.
    5. Denies climate change.
    6. Denies evolution.
    7. Cuts funding to education.
    8. Proposes to lift restrictions on industry which will further pollute water and air.
    9.. Rejects “green power”.
    10. Believes “Creationism” should be part of the school curriculum.
    11. Protects the rich.
    12. Applauds the death penalty.
    13. Rejects gay rights.
    14. Prefers the bible to the US Constitution.
    15. Eliminates collective bargaining.
    16. Withholds funding from Planned Parenthood.
    17. Grants “personhood” to a clump of cells.
    18. “Interprets” god’s will as public policy.

The only answer would have to be their vote is “against” the black guy since “voting for” this party not only is senseless but an act that would cut off their nose to spite their faces.

How are these positions in any way defensible? The GOP candidate is one of the most secretive and lackluster men to ever run for office with a track record of flip flopping that would envy a seal. And his v.p. is one of the most radical assholes to ever be granted the second slot.

As much as I resented the Obots referring to us as “racists” in 2008 because we preferred a candidate who came with far better qualifications and experience, I must admit that in 2012 there is not other reason to vote for, support, or defend the GOP since what they offer is so off the wall radical that racism cannot be denied in this instance.

    • Pat Johnson says:

OT: I have just been “defriended” by a former co worker who apparently found my Facebook page (I rarely use it) and dislikes my comments about the GOP.

First off, I never knew we were Facebook friends.

Secondly, I could not care less.

      • bostonboomer says:

I really need to defriend some people. Sometimes I’m afraid of what I’ll see when I open my facebook page.

    • ANonOMouse says:

Pat, I agree. I didn’t see it last time, I even resented hearing it being said and implied, but this time every new episode with these batshit crazy people screams racism.

      • Pat Johnson says:

Mouse, I raise that as a reason because when you look at that list I prepared, and I am not making it up as it is on the record, it is beyond me how any rational human being would be supporting even half of what is spelled out there.

      • ANonOMouse says:

I agree Pat. We both have seen our share of ODS, so we recognize it when we see it and ODS is all about racism.

    • Fannie says:

Yea there is a lot of it Pat, the homemade/homegrown type, not just a sprinkle either. It’s total saturation coming out of the woodwork.

  9. RalphB says:

These loons get these ideas and espouse them because of the batshit crazy teahadist right wing fantasy world they are immersed in 24/7 now. You should see the absolutely insane emails I get forwarded from my brother. Not a single word of truth in them anywhere.

We haven’t spoken in years and detest each other but he insists on forwarding me wingnut emails. He’s a dedicated fool.

    • Pat Johnson says:

Ralph, I appreciate that you live in Texas but Bostonboomer and I come from MA and you seldom, if ever, see any of the “batshit” nonsense you deal with down there being proposed. We have our own set of problems with our own MA legislature where the last 3 Speakers of the House have been indicted and sent to jail for graft. It’s MA after all. An accepted “way of life” in our political culture.

We don’t have megachurchs in MA either. The mainstream religions still hold sway up this way and though our Catholic churches no longer have “standing room only” during Sunday mass (something that pedophilia can be relied upon to empty the weekly coffers) very few walk around with their religion on their sleeves.

We like our football but we don’t treat it like another religion on Friday nights.

The press tries to be even handed and the Boston Globe is still considered a must read “liberal rag” whereas reading the Boston Herald requires wearing a Hazmat suit.

Talk radio is not that big up here although there are more “conservative” than “liberal” talk shows but not too many pay attention to either one.

This is what differentiates from the Southern states thriving on the likes of Rush and forming megagchurchs where 4,000 crowd into the pews each week to be lectured to by some “superstar evangelist” wearing $2,000 suits and Italian pumps.

This is not to be taken as a slam at the Southern mentality but it does offer some rationale of why and how these people differ from those of us up North.

      • RalphB says:

I don’t see any of it where I live. We’re blue here, thank dog. My brother lives in PA now and before that was in CA for over 30 years, so I can’t even blame his insanity on TX.

      • Pat Johnson says:

Consider yourself lucky to not have a daily exposure to this insanity.

But if you have a daily assault of liberal bashing, conspiracy theories, along with a dose of Rush, Pat Robertson, and the other “holy rollers” who overtake the airwaves below the Mason/Dixon Line, then you become indoctrinated with nothing else.

I’m not attempting to say we are “better people” up here, just that this stuff does not have a market that makes it so. The “old Yankee attitude” of live and let live still enjoys some resonance.

In other words, we don’t much care if you go to heaven or not.

      • RalphB says:

I take that back because we get to watch the state government but, compared to the real loons, they are mild but still crazy.

Last time they wanted to build a large church here, the neighborhood sued and the church was turned down because of the extra noise and parking problems it would have caused. It did my heart good when that happened.

      • NW Luna says:

I have a nut-wing brother-in-law who’s corrupted my sister. They both think the gov’t should not tax citizens for things like libraries (yet they make heavy use of libraries). Nor do they think gov’t should establish building codes or standards for residential water quality. He was so pissed that their well water (8 feet down so it’s really groundwater) didn’t pass due to the high e. coli bacterial count. “Nothing the matter with that water!” he’d yell. Their religion says that women should obey their husbands/fathers, and be submissive.

Yes, there are right-nut-wingers everywhere. But Washington state, especially on the west side, has fewer than elsewhere. Now if I could ship my relatives off somewhere else…..

    • ANonOMouse says:

Ralph….I know what you mean about your brohter. I have a cousin who I helped raise who keeps my e-mailbox filled with his Obama hate propaganda. I Have a patented response I send back to him on every email, it is one world “bullshit” .

I’m in Dixie, we’re overrun with these fools. I’m getting ready to put my Obama sticker on my car and nail an Obama sign on a tree in my front yard. That should drive the fucktards crazy.

      • RalphB says:

I never respond, just delete them after a quick glance to see what’s going around 😉

      • Pat Johnson says:

I have a friend whose mother is a transplant from MA to North Carolina. Since she relocated about 10 years ago she “found god”.

I am included on her weekly “prayer chain” which, sorry to say because she means well and is a genuinely nice person, I delete without opening.

Tjos action of mine may produce the next atmospheric event sent by god who is probably pissed off enough at me to let me know it.

      • dakinikat says:

They ripped the Hillary sticker off of my car when I was teaching up in the hinterland. I’m in the inner city now. No way any one will touch an Obama sticker here.

  10. Pat Johnson says:

Rachel gave a rather interesting tongue lashing to her journalistic colleagues tonight, urging them to do their jobs and push for those answers these candidates choose to evade.

“Are you just scribbling down whatever they say?” she asks when they choose to ignore follow up questions.

“It’s your job!” she said. You got to hand it to Rachel.

  11. As much as I love the UN and their Humanitarian Efforts which have saved thousands, in Syria they couldn’t even get in medical supplies to civilians being shot/bombed/hacked with knives by the Assad regime. So, this judge is off his rocker, me thinks! As, for Obama, it is a well known fact he was very, very delayed in Egypt, and reluctant in Libya. So, this is a Texas judge? Oh, my…

  12. List of X says:

I don’t know about additional law enforcement stuff after Obama is re-elected, but mental health institutions will definitely need additional stuff.
