Why is it when days are as hot as today, everything seems to move as slow as a Dali painting?
It’s hot here too. It makes me very lethargic. Get this, it was supposedly 109 degrees yesterday where my mom lives in Indiana.
When my mom was 11 years old, it was 121 degrees in her hometown of Hope, North Dakota. July 6, 1936.

It was 109 in Austin on Monday. Broke the day’s record by several degrees. In the 90s today and definitely better. There’s hope for a cooler weekend.

It’s been horrible here all week. However, our weather Goddess Margaret Orr says we’ll be heading back to more normal hot heat instead of melting and sweating in your house heat.

These stories about “religious beliefs” are really pissing me off.
All the moves and excuses to force the right’s beliefs on everyone should be seen in a historical perspective. After seeing women used in so many historic items of propaganda while at those history museums in DC it makes me want to scream. You know, Hitler was in every woman’s uterus too…I know it is an extreme leap…but I am just saying.
No that isn’t a leap at all.
Totalitarian governments and churches will do what ever it takes to control women — this seems to be a patriarchal thing. Hitler’s Germany — the Fatherland.

Isn’t it ironic – a woman gets raped and then put in jail where the probability is high that she will be assaulted while in jail. And she was assaulted — but a religious nutjob.
