Scientific Theory According to the Koch Brothers
Posted: June 19, 2012 Filed under: just because 10 Comments »Hello, I am just posting some photos of my visit to the Koch financed exhibit on Evolution and Climate Change…
This is just a little sample and since Kat wrote a post on the wacky crap that is passing for science, you may find the pictures interesting.

First statement as you walk into the exhibit…
There were all these graphs showing how the earth has experienced climate change for 6 million years, but nothing except a small mention of CO2 levels that are rising dramatically in the present day.

Maybe I am being over sensitive, but the word not above is in italics and that phrase, about not evolving from apes of today…we share similar characteristics…is repeated over and over again throughout the exhibit.

These kind of “questions” are all over the exhibit…and then these last three images are part of the exit area of the exhibit…

Sorry about the quality of these pictures…they are the only ones that came out…
We are having a good time, very tired…anyway, have a nice night!

So the Koch brothers aren’t religious crazies, they just support those who are. That’s probably even worse.
Yes, education and knowledge are for the elites. The little people must be kept in the dark. Ignorance is bliss.
Sort of like during the dark ages and into the modern era when education wasn’t for the lower classes. Only the very wealthy, a few scribes and Catholic priests could read. The rationale of that time was explained by one of my professors — the Bible was far too important for the common folk to read — they needed “guidance ” in understanding what God was telling his people. Of course his people were male. Dante’s Inferno came from that era. Also millions of women were murdered by the Catholic church. Truth — the creeps kept records.
It’s pretty clear that’s what Romney and Ryan want to turn us into. A small number of wealthy plutocrats ruling over millions of ignorant clods who believe anything the plutocrats tell them and willingly work for slave wages.
Personally, I never thought they were religious crazies. Instead, I think they are self-interested, greedy capitalist a$$hats. But then, I don’t think the majority of televangelists are Christian. IMHO, they are con-artists who saw a good scam that could earn them money & power.
I think it’s human nature to yearn for a hero, a savior and simple and/or easy & painless solutions to complex, frightening problems. Except for the human predators among us, like the Kochs, the Roves, the Cheneys and their ilk. It makes things so much simpler for them to keep their prey frightened & uninformed.
JJ, so much to see, so little time. Don’t over do it, no matter how tempting. All of you are still recovering – you from your surgery & hubby & kids from being sick. See/do what you can but take time to relax and rest too.
Was it the World’s Fairs that started the trend of corporate shilling in the guise of exhibits or has this type of thing always gone on?
According to Scientific American, we didn’t evolve from apes living today–rather, we share a common ancestor.

It says exactly that on one of the plaques pictured above.
Yes, that was my point.
