Oh, I guess, but the crowd is clapping too damn much. It sounds like a basketball game and each time one of the clowns slams another clown, they applaud, like when a player at a basketball game shoots a basket.
Pretty good attack on Romney by Gov. Goodhair, followed by demand to get rid of all regulations. Romney defends his record of putting an SC company out of business, then agrees with Goodhair on regs.
Yeah, I wasn’t prepared for that…I forgot Perry was supposed to be there!
Romney says he wasn’t at Bain when the paper mill went bankrupt. (How much money did he make off the deal though?).
He says the company was bought out and all the workers were offered jobs at the new one. Of course they were non-union jobs, and probably paid much less.
BB, isn’t the plan Romney has for the economy and jobs the same thing like Obama has been pushing?
Romney says he has a jobs plan and Obama doesn’t (didn’t Obama propose one?). Romney says he knows what it takes to get our economy back on track.
Ron Paul defends his attack ads on the basis that they are true. Talking about his attacks on Santorum for liberal stands.

Santorum says Ron Paul quoted “left-wing” orgs like CREW in his ads. Santorum is proud that they think he’s corrupt, because they are left-wing liars.
Santorum defends his vote against right-to-work bill. He’s against it, but his state isn’t, so he voted against the bill.
(He has no problem with forcing his state to ban birth control and abortion, however.)

I feel that the way the audience is reacting is an example that the right really doesn’t like or want Romney…
It’s so funny to hear them defend themselves for ever supporting anything that could conceivably be described as fair or reasonable.

My care about getting into the race is because I care about America…Obama is turning America into a socialist European state…blah blah blah.
Did not really answer the question very well.
He never answers any question well. He basically never says anything that means anything. Kind of like Obama in 2008.
Has Romney ever been forced to explain exactly how Obama (or and US prez since Nixon) has come up with anything remotely resembling a “European socialist state” program????
Romney keeps talking like Staples and Sport Authority as if they are highly successful………hell most employees make $8.83 hour, and so for a family of four, that puts them below poverty level, and no better than Taco Bell……..where as the sports authority department managers make $16.00 an hour, putting a family of four at $32,000 right at the poverty level.
I wish somebody would have asked him a little more, and more about those paper jobs.
Yeah, and you got to also figure that many managers do not get overtime. So that 16 bucks an hour gets cut big time!
He doesn’t care about workers–just profits for the owners and shareholders. That’s what makes a business sucessful in his eyes.
Romney says he tried to respect MA majority views on abortion, but then a bill came to his desk saying we were going to create embryos just to destroy them. He couldn’t sign it and penned an op-ed expaining he was pro-life and then governed as a pro-life governor.
Wow, Perry says TX and SC are “at war” with the federal gov’t. Question was about voter ID laws, but he has switched to talking about right-to-work laws and religion.
Audience applauds wildly, but even more wildly after Romney’s BS speech on abortion, removing regs, and all kinds of other stuff.

Newt asked how many weeks should unemployment last? He says it should be tied to job training. What about people who have skills or even Ph.Ds but can’t find jobs because there aren’t any?

Apparently there’s been some MCM discussion that Newt’s phrase, “food stamp president,” is code for racist comments about blacks. Others say it’s because Obama hasn’t done much to stimulate employment, and thus there are more and more people eligible for food stamps. I go with the latter, but, known Newt, he could be alluding to the former.
Romney getting wild applause for saying Obama used slush funds to help his friends after financial crisis. Says the answer is bankruptcy, even for banks.
Geez, Romney’s answer to jobs…get the gov out of businesses.
Ron Paul asked about defense cuts. He says he just wants to close bases overseas and spend lots more money for bases here at home.
Mentions that he gets lots of money from military contractors and military people.
Oh, I knew RuPaul would have big support in SC.

Romney asked again why he won’t release his tax records. He says he’s released his holdings, but most likely he’ll do that in April. Maybe.

I saw video clip of Romney on releasing his taxes — he had this wide-eyed, oh-so-innocent look on his face. Looked like a (young) teenager trying to get out of something he knows his parents know he did.
It’s going to be a long election season and I will not be able to take listening to either Obama or Romney. Ack!

Santorum asked about high unemployment among black americans. Should special steps be taken to help them?
Santorum says the solution to poverty is graduate from high school, get a job and get married before you have children.

I don’t know how much I can take either. This audience is obnoxious and that Baier (as head moderator) has not taken them to task for their behavior is very disturbing. Especially since it was a racially charged boo and it was directed at Williams.
New York Janitors are highly paid, something like $92,000, of course they get lots of overtime, like police officers, etc. And they are plumber and electricans, etc. So you take that one janitor’s job, give it to 30 kids (who aren’t trained electricians & plumbers) and the pay comes out to $1.50 per hour.
Now do you think somebody can ask each of them what does the average family spend on their food bill? Ask them how much is a gallon of milk………..Betcha they don’t know.
