  1. Minkoff Minx says:

Okay, I thought the beginning bit about the warning system was slightly amusing. If a bell or a ding won’t get these people to shut up…try the sound of hell fire raining down!

  2. Minkoff Minx says:

Gingrich is getting hit by Baier about the comments this past week…

  3. bostonboomer says:

Thanks for posting this, Minx! I just turned it on, and they’re saying there’s a break in the proceedings. I guess Santorum and Gingrich were late?

    • Minkoff Minx says:

Oh, I guess, but the crowd is clapping too damn much. It sounds like a basketball game and each time one of the clowns slams another clown, they applaud, like when a player at a basketball game shoots a basket.

  4. bostonboomer says:

Pretty good attack on Romney by Gov. Goodhair, followed by demand to get rid of all regulations. Romney defends his record of putting an SC company out of business, then agrees with Goodhair on regs.

  5. bostonboomer says:

Romney says he wasn’t at Bain when the paper mill went bankrupt. (How much money did he make off the deal though?).

He says the company was bought out and all the workers were offered jobs at the new one. Of course they were non-union jobs, and probably paid much less.

  6. bostonboomer says:

Romney says he has a jobs plan and Obama doesn’t (didn’t Obama propose one?). Romney says he knows what it takes to get our economy back on track.

  7. bostonboomer says:

Ron Paul defends his attack ads on the basis that they are true. Talking about his attacks on Santorum for liberal stands.

  8. bostonboomer says:

Santorum says Ron Paul quoted “left-wing” orgs like CREW in his ads. Santorum is proud that they think he’s corrupt, because they are left-wing liars.

  9. bostonboomer says:

Santorum defends his vote against right-to-work bill. He’s against it, but his state isn’t, so he voted against the bill.

(He has no problem with forcing his state to ban birth control and abortion, however.)

  10. Minkoff Minx says:

Boy, they all are getting on Romney’s ass…(yeah!)

  11. bostonboomer says:

It’s so funny to hear them defend themselves for ever supporting anything that could conceivably be described as fair or reasonable.

  12. Minkoff Minx says:

    First twitter ?

About Romney flip flop and changing his positions.

    • Minkoff Minx says:

      Romney’s response:
My care about getting into the race is because I care about America…Obama is turning America into a socialist European state…blah blah blah.
Did not really answer the question very well.

      • bostonboomer says:

He never answers any question well. He basically never says anything that means anything. Kind of like Obama in 2008.

      • jawbone says:

Has Romney ever been forced to explain exactly how Obama (or and US prez since Nixon) has come up with anything remotely resembling a “European socialist state” program????

  13. Fannie says:

Romney keeps talking like Staples and Sport Authority as if they are highly successful………hell most employees make $8.83 hour, and so for a family of four, that puts them below poverty level, and no better than Taco Bell……..where as the sports authority department managers make $16.00 an hour, putting a family of four at $32,000 right at the poverty level.

I wish somebody would have asked him a little more, and more about those paper jobs.

    • Minkoff Minx says:

Yeah, and you got to also figure that many managers do not get overtime. So that 16 bucks an hour gets cut big time!

    • bostonboomer says:

He doesn’t care about workers–just profits for the owners and shareholders. That’s what makes a business sucessful in his eyes.

  14. bostonboomer says:

Romney says he tried to respect MA majority views on abortion, but then a bill came to his desk saying we were going to create embryos just to destroy them. He couldn’t sign it and penned an op-ed expaining he was pro-life and then governed as a pro-life governor.

  15. bostonboomer says:

Wow, Perry says TX and SC are “at war” with the federal gov’t. Question was about voter ID laws, but he has switched to talking about right-to-work laws and religion.

    • bostonboomer says:

Audience applauds wildly, but even more wildly after Romney’s BS speech on abortion, removing regs, and all kinds of other stuff.

  16. Minkoff Minx says:

    Oh fuck, there it is!!!!

    Jesus, Ltd. Inc.!

    War on religion…gag!

  17. Fannie says:

Did you hear, South Carolina is at WAR with this government. WTF

  18. Minkoff Minx says:

? to Santorum, extending unemployment benefits…he does not support it.

  19. bostonboomer says:

Says unemployment ins. should go back to states–equates it with welfare.

  20. bostonboomer says:

Newt asked how many weeks should unemployment last? He says it should be tied to job training. What about people who have skills or even Ph.Ds but can’t find jobs because there aren’t any?
What about people in their 50s and 60s?

Calls Obama the “food stamp president” again

    • Minkoff Minx says:

I’m glad you got that, had a bit of distraction during his time.

    • jawbone says:

Apparently there’s been some MCM discussion that Newt’s phrase, “food stamp president,” is code for racist comments about blacks. Others say it’s because Obama hasn’t done much to stimulate employment, and thus there are more and more people eligible for food stamps. I go with the latter, but, known Newt, he could be alluding to the former.

  21. bostonboomer says:

Romney getting wild applause for saying Obama used slush funds to help his friends after financial crisis. Says the answer is bankruptcy, even for banks.

  22. Minkoff Minx says:

Geez, Romney’s answer to jobs…get the gov out of businesses.

  23. bostonboomer says:

Ron Paul asked about defense cuts. He says he just wants to close bases overseas and spend lots more money for bases here at home.

Mentions that he gets lots of money from military contractors and military people.

  24. Minkoff Minx says:

Oh, I knew RuPaul would have big support in SC.

    • Minkoff Minx says:

Juan Williams to Ron Paul, disproportionate numbers of blacks in SC for drug convictions…

Paul: When it comes to discrimination against minorities…Judicial system is where prejudice and discrimination run rampant.

  25. Fannie says:

Damn Sam – raise taxes on the poor.

  26. bostonboomer says:

Taxes: Romney wants 25% estate tax.

Newt wants a flat income tax of 15%.

Ron Paul wants a 0% tax.

  27. bostonboomer says:

Romney asked again why he won’t release his tax records. He says he’s released his holdings, but most likely he’ll do that in April. Maybe.

  28. bostonboomer says:

Romney asked about his father being born in Mexico. Why is he so anti-immigration?

  29. i’m watching this on a google tv and blogging at the same time LOL this is too funny. i have a picture in picture of these clowns debating on the bottom right corner of the skydancing page.

mittens did a bad job on the tax release question.

  30. bostonboomer says:

Romney; illegal immigrants should not be given citizenship. Doesn’t say how he’d get all those millions of people to leave the country, lol.

  31. bostonboomer says:

Santorum asked about high unemployment among black americans. Should special steps be taken to help them?

  32. bostonboomer says:

Santorum says the solution to poverty is graduate from high school, get a job and get married before you have children.

  33. bostonboomer says:

Says Obama admin. has forbidden programs to promote marriage and abstinence to young girls.

    • bostonboomer says:

Ron Paul asked about minorities being more targeted by arrests and convictions for drugs. Ron Paul says says and goes into lecture about the drug war.

  34. Fannie says:

Get the barf bags out……………. Santorum, bestie friend.

  35. bostonboomer says:

Juan Williams(?) asks Gringrich about his recommendation that poor kids clean their own schools. Can’t he understand why that is insulting?

No, he can’t understand. Gives some anecdotes from his family and friends.

  36. Fannie says:

Did he say you can hire 30 kids for one janitor’s wage?

  37. bostonboomer says:

Newt–you could get 30 kids for the cost of one union janitor. “Only the elites despise earning money.”

If Newt isn’t an elite, who is?

  38. bostonboomer says:

Juan Williams being booed by the audience.

Newt says more people on unemployment and food stamps under Obama than any prev. prez. No mention of the economic mess.

    • bostonboomer says:

I don’t know how much more of this bullshit I can take!

      • Minkoff Minx says:

I don’t know how much I can take either. This audience is obnoxious and that Baier (as head moderator) has not taken them to task for their behavior is very disturbing. Especially since it was a racially charged boo and it was directed at Williams.

  39. Fannie says:

New York Janitors are highly paid, something like $92,000, of course they get lots of overtime, like police officers, etc. And they are plumber and electricans, etc. So you take that one janitor’s job, give it to 30 kids (who aren’t trained electricians & plumbers) and the pay comes out to $1.50 per hour.

Now do you think somebody can ask each of them what does the average family spend on their food bill? Ask them how much is a gallon of milk………..Betcha they don’t know.

  40. Fannie says:

Kill em………they are all over the US, so what he wants to start killing them here? Mercy Me.

  41. i am bored with this. rpaul saying some truths about war and international rule of law but is anyone in this redonk crowd listening besides his few paulbots who cheered; baier cuts him off to let newtered take the stage and talk like he’s so tough on terror…says historical quote about how to treat our enemies is “kill them” now rpaul daying we need to end the wwwwwwwwwwwars instead of creating more; getting a little more audience enthusiasm. mittens joins in saying the right way is to have strong military so no one will attack us. /eyeroll

  42. bostonboomer says:

These guys are more moronic on foreign policy than domestic. Newt ranting about Turkey–should not be in NATO, Perry once again says we should have zero foreign aid. Romney rants about Afghanistan.

  43. Fannie says:

Perry has lost me, hell I thought Turkey was our ally.

  44. goodhair shouldn’t even be asked foreign policy questions. he uses the same cliffs notes dubya did

  45. Fannie says:

Somebody send Romney the definition nof treason.

  46. Fannie says:

    Ooops……definition of treason.

  47. bostonboomer says:

Romney supports indef. detention of Americans. He wouldn’t abuse the power and neither will Obama. These people are not entitled to due process.

How would he know they are really guilty?

  48. Minkoff Minx says:

If I watch more of this, my depressed state from the weekend will come back with a vengeance.

  49. Minkoff Minx says:

Hey, One more thing before I go, Williams hasn’t asked a question since the boos…I wonder if he was shut up by the man…

  50. bostonboomer says:

Somone–I think Newt–says he supports Habeas Corpus rights for citizens even tho Romney doesn’t. Ron Paul responds–talks about patriot act, etc.

  51. Fannie says:

What the hell is Perry going to do about the housing problem, he went on and on, and on. Not a damn thing about housing.

    • bostonboomer says:

Just get the gov’t out of it. Now Romney is talking about how to “fix” SS and medicare.

  52. Fannie says:

So I make $8.83 an hour and I’d be stupid not to take $1.00 and save it for retirement……….against ask him, what does the average family spend for their food bill?

  53. bostonboomer says:

Newt (or is it Rick S.? I’m listening in the radio) claims we’re running a deficit in social security.

    LIAR!!

    • our next prez is down to obama mittens newt and santorum;
proodf that our electoral system is broken.

oh great; next up social issues? wtf? i thought they already blathere on about social issues

not sure i can make it to the end so i’ll say bye now just in case. thx for the live blog

      night

  54. Fannie says:

Somebody tell Romney, private business, you file bankruptcy, and regorganize, and come back with a load of money.

  55. Riverbird says:

Thanks for watching this so I didn’t have to!

  56. Fannie says:

    Ask them about Citzens United!

  57. ralphb says:

This election season is simply maddening. I have never been so weary of selfish ignorant people running for President. They have no empathy at all for their fellow beings and may be the first fully psychopathic field in my memory.

What a different race it could be if just one were to internalize this small bit from MLK’s Letter from a Birmingham Jail.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.
